KP thinks you are doing just fine!!!  Glad to have you in the Humble school district!!!
all this butt kissing isn't going to make sc take it easy on kp.
We will play with honor, and discipline, no matter how much certain people ;) want to wrongly paint SC as uncivilized, undisciplined, and with unsubstantiated rumors/innuendo. No matter what the outcomes will be.
bringing up playoff wins would be a low blow.  Good luck with your season.
Bringing up 1 playoff win would be a low blow.....for a program that is 40-50 years old. However, for 4 year old Summercreek, it is a major compliment. Especially for any team playing high school football in football crazy Texas. There is not a team in the state who would feel ashamed at having a 4 year old school/varsity football team, with: The number 7 4a team in the state Two district championships, Two playoff appearances, One playoff win, Two-time District MVP, The No. 2 rated quarterback in the greater Houston area, The no. 22 dual-threat quarterback nationally The no. 76 player in the state of Texas. The No. 94 overall player in the state of Texas,(Dakota Allen) Numerous college football signees There are very few high school football teams, NATIONWIDE, that had/have a comparable record after only 4 years in existence.
those teams aren't trading in district/conference titles for mythical state title rings either. Like i said: good luck with your season.
Thank you for the offering of good luck. Some of us will take the season one game at a time.

 7.
How do you guys feel about coaches who put their kids above the program? Special treatment especially when its so obvious. There are some cases where the kid is just better than the rest and is the obvious choice but there are times when the coach is really reaching. How can you explain moving a Freshman who wasn't the best player on his Jr High team to Varsity(5A) and make him your backup QB? Does this send a good message to the players and community? Im interested in what you think; maybe im off base with this.
Sounds like you have a beef with someone.
 8. Expect SC to adjust to 5A for about two years.  Afterwards,  SC will be competitive in 5A.

Would have been hard to pass on the opportunity to play the Mike at OU and maybe even for a national championship but I said several months ago that the perfect fit for him IMO would be playing inside in a 3-4 scheme and that's the type defense Tech runs. Tech is in desperate need for recruits like Dakota and he should be in the mix as a freshman barring injury. He tested well enough where he should best able to stay on the field in the nickel coverages they're so fond of in the Big 12. Him and kahlee Woods should hold down the middle for a while. Tech had a good D last year but I think it was more staff than talent. Kingsburry is putting together some good classes though as you can see from the one that Dakota's in. Good luck to him, they got a couple more to put in the pen on the South Plains now.
I think OU was trying to recruit Dakota as an OLB, not sure how much that affected his decision but an OLB in a 4-3 is fairly different than an ILB in a 3-4, especially defending against a spread offense.
Dakota is already close to 230 lbs. I doubt they're recruiting a kid that size already to play on the outside. Most teams are going to run a 3-3-5 vs vs the spread on early downs anyway. There's only one Mike at OU vs 2 ILBs in Tech's D. It would be a lot harder to get on the field at OU also which probably figured into his decision. Whitley and Scott are playing on the inside and they're smaller and faster than Dakota. There's just more spots available at Tech.
[Hidden Content]
That nakes more sense then, good info. It says OU's Mike and Will positions are similar in the Sooner's defensive scheme. I remember OU going 4-2-5 for their nickel like TCU does instead of 3-3-5 like Tech or UT which means he might come off the field. If OU thinks enough of his athleticism to play on the outside that's pretty awesome though.
I agree. That was really good info, and definitely clarifies why Dakota chose Texas Tech. He is thinking ahead, and sees that he will possibly have more playing time at Tech=more time to show the pros what he can do.

Good Luck to Dakota and his family.
Dakota helped my son out immensely when my son was a freshmen. If Dakota or his family needed anything, I would be the first to step up to help them. They are very high class people.
KP has 7 on off and 7 back on def.  we will be better then last year and quicker.  I am worried about our off. line,  Time will tell. I do not know the first name of the Howard kid from SC but how big is he? Nederland and PN has great fans and always has a big following where even they play.  BH, Dayton and Crosby are great schools that also has big crowds.  KP and SC are the new schools that are stating to get some crowds but not like the older schools that have a great history.  KP has been around for only 6 years.  SC three years.
I don't know his stats, but I will try to find out. Kingwood park has been pretty good in wrestling. ( my son is a hardcore wrestler, (SC wrestling team, and possible future olympian, hopefully). A lot of the football players wrestle in the off season, so that is how I know some of them.
 12.
I heard SC has a guard Howard that is 6'4" 340 next to Peterson on the off line?  I heard that they have a center Thompson that is 260-270 that is solid?  I heard that the other side of line might have a soph that is really big?  Is this true??
Javonte Howard
 13. One player to keep a eye on is Michael Petersen(Big Mike). He was 6'3", 285lbs, #57 last year. This year he is close to 6'4", maybe 290 lbs. He was chubby baby fat last year, but has muscled up a lot for this year. I saw him at Bulldog camp, and he seems to be in good shape and ready to play. Michael Petersen supposedly has committed to Texas Tech.

Congrats to him and his Family
The amount of pressure that goes into this recruiting process is something you wouldn't understand unless you have been through it. Over months you build a relationship with coaches across the nation and when it comes down to a decision you're going to disappoint someone. All you can do is pray about it and ask God to lead you in the right direction. With that being said I am a proud papa and happy this ordeal is finally over.
Kudos, and good luck!
