  1. Harrington vs. Dewey should be a good match up on the hill. But I have to go with the home team in this one. Just dont think Dayton hits the ball well enough to take it, but with two good teams going at it, anything can happen. I'll say PNG over Dayton, 3-0.
  2. You do have a point midcountymadness, PNG is a very talented team with an experienced leader in Coach Stone. But I wouldn't count Vidor out just yet, they have faced good pitchers in the kid from St.Louis, Riley from Woodville, and Sampere from Nederland and they have put up double digits in all of those games. I'm not saying Vidor puts that type of offense up agianst Harrington but from what I've heard and the little I've seen they swing the bat extremley well. And as far as the "history" edge going to PNG I agree 100% but I think some teams thrive on the underdog role and I believe this Vidor team is one of those groups. I'm not saying Vidor takes it but watch for a thriller at the Reservation. Good luck to both teams and always remember to represent your towns with class, I wouldn't expect any less from these two coaches.
  3. I sure hope you were joking #3_Jags when you said "but next time we play at our field, instead of that big rock ya'll call a field." Because I have been to the new and improved Vidor Field, and I can say it is one of ,if not the nicest field I have seen in this area. And don't get me started with the facility they have there, it's almost not even fair.
  4. By "back it up" do you mean blow the game in the 9th. And Ryan Ellis may not "take any crap off anyone" but he sure did take a beating from Vidor's batters in the top of the 9th. Morgan if you are going to dog a team on this site A.K.A. Vidor then at least have a point to make. Jasper won the first game, Vidor won the second. Both are very good teams and everyone will admitt that but you. Everyone else I have talked to about Vidor says they are a good group of kids except you, of course that is after they beat you at your place. Now hopefully you and your team learned a lesson to save the "sit down" and "better luck next time" until the final out is called and your team is ahead. End of story.
