1.
Outsider looking in, however, have experience with the player elegibility proof issue. 1)  Did either team play with an ineligible player?  If that is the case, then the team with the ineligible player forfeits regardless of any "gentleman's agreement" between coaches at the start of the game.  In any level of the sport, there is a prohibition with regard to players being ineligible. 2)  Was the "rule violation" a clerical one?  (Didn't have documents at the start of the game, etc.)  If this is the case, then the game can proceed, provided the documents are provided in the specified time, if the coaches agree to the game being played.  A lot of folks are all about the rules, which is not necessarily a bad thing.  However, there comes a time when you look at it in a sense of degrees.  Physical violations, like intentional tackling in a flag game, spearing, and using prohibited equipment to hurt or intimidate an opponent are unbendable.  Also unbendable is using a kid that does not live within the boundaries, a kid too old or too big, etc.  These are player safety issues.  Clerical rules that are for proof have to be followed with regard to accuracy and veracity of players...you can't lie about the kid playing.  Forgetting the documents?  If this was a professional who got paid to do nothing but remember documents, then, yeah...rake him or her over the coals.  But volunteers?  Come on...if you want perfection, participate more than lip flapping on the sidelines.  God knows a lot of coaches would love to be in your spot for a season or two, and just watch their kid play ball. As to the equal application of the rules...again, is one area getting hammered for clerical violations, and one isn't?  Or is one area getting hammered for more serious violations, and this is just a chance to grouse indignant? [/quote Wow logic.  Great post.
 2. I heard they are not playing.  Not sure if that is true or not.

During the first quarter, I was told by other board members that the Lumberton coach did not have his cards. The Beaumont coach did not inform the STJFL until after the game was started and had already agreed to have the Lumberton coach send somebody to get his cards. The STJFL members are usually not present at the initial MPR meeting and card exchange because it happens between the coaches before the pre-game meeting and coin flip. The purpose of the cards is to establish the eligibility of players, but if a coach allows players to start the game without verification then eligibility is implied.  Almost every game is started without card verification by either team. Before the season started we informed all coaches to stop a game and get a STJFL member to resolve conflicts, but that did not happen in this case. There were four board members present that were not from Lumberton involved with this. The STJFL Coaches Representative went to each sideline and had discussions with both coaches and all agreed to allow the game to be played and the cards were verified before the end of the game with no ineligible players. The STJFL has procedures in place to deal with issues and complaints. This is being handled by the Coaches Representative who is not associated with Lumberton or Beaumont.  He is still talking to all of the board members and he will inform everyone involved when there is a decision. Generally when there is a complaint the members of that association are not involved with the investigation or punishment and this situation is no different. I hardly ever post on this site and I'm not going to engage with anyone over this topic, but I wanted to try and set the record straight.
This statement is incorrect. Carlos and Jeani were informed prior to kickoff
Your turn PREZ/ Teamraider
No need to reply.  He said what he wanted to say.  You should get your team ready to play, wait they lost.

You let a Team BREAK a RULE and done nothing about it. IF the President in Beaumont don't stand up for yall league he needs to be voted out just as the STJFL Board Members do. How many times have you send someone over to monitor the mpr for the other team? 4. How many times has someone monitored your MPR? My answer to all 4 questions would be none...... we have played 8 teams........so, I know 8 other teams that would give the same answer........
