1. Beating BH this year, not going to happen, sorry.  I just don't see neederland doing anything remotely better this season after losing Brown. Good Luck with all of that!
 2. C Shugart is a player any team would like to have.  I'd start a team just with him.  Kid can hit as well as pitch. Solid defensively, quick and overall great athlete. I would think things would be just fine in BC because they usu are.
 3.
Ok ozen fans stop being bias and taking up for tony congrats to him and all his success but you guys KNOW good and well only reason Tony is being recruited the way he is is because of one his father and the camps he's been too I'm a proud Ozen alumni but I can tell you that Tony is by far the most highly recruited player to come through Ozen with probably the least amount of skills if you take a look at his career and compared it to that of former Ozen player Ben Wells you'd see the talent level ain't even close...and since when it didn't matter what a guy does on the field? You guys never seem to amaze me sometime I'm a adamant ozen fan but I call things how I see it and tony is all hype
Get your kids to the camps and combines......and measure yourself to the best of the best.  There's no coach, no teammate to lean or on or mess things up.  If you want to be recruited, waiting for a scout to dig you out of the trash can may not happen for you, get to scouting events early and often.  You need to be seen by as many people as you can.  The climate of recruiting is being seen and measuring your future growth and potential and this kid has all of the tools needed.  Votes by a high school coach as far as all-district is no measure of your potential to play athletics at the next level.  Can anyone even count how many all-district players will not get scholarships even to Jucos this season.  Like it or not, this player has all of the tools to achieve at the next level.  Sounds like a lot of jealous people who are uneducated and uninformed.
 4.
Bulldogbacker you know how to stir the pot early.Dogs did have a tough year in the clutch last year.We have a chance at a new beginning of being clutch. It is contagious. If there had been a pool on who would have been the best hitter last year about the only one who would have bet on Barrow would have been Seth.Things change from year to year some hitters get hot others go into a slump. My point is that Brett will get to show what he can do.For you to get on here and say he is the best hitter in the program is very disrespectful to some really good hitters.Barrow was the best hitter last year hands down!
B Brown going D1 in baseball says it all.  Kid could hit as well as pitch.  Sure other hitters like Richard, Barrow were good last season....neederland struggle with clutch hitting. just don't see the bats will keep this team competitive in district and beyond.
 5.
Until Tony Brown gets to play on the same D as the WOS kids, we don't really know how they'd stack up. Maybe, if you compared those kids' drill tapes to TB's they wouldn't stack up to him. Apples and Oranges between WOS and Ozen. You said it yourself...... it's the WOS program that is the biggest difference. Congrats to ALL the locals getting looks.... D1 or otherwise.
sometimes you have to look at future potential of players.....may not make every big play, but what is future potential of said athlete to compete at next level.  if kid has hit his ceiling in High school, then that might be his only opportunity. T Brown has growth potential....all of the tools to make it at next level, couple that with coaching and ability will meet opportunity for this player. Can't really compare what other 3 A teams did in area, those players have the same opportunity at scouting events to show what they have compared to athletes at any size High School.  The scouts are there looking for potential and growth factors.....sometimes it's not just making the play in a High School football game....if that was the case, size wouldn't matter either. There are a lot of factors in considering an athlete's talent, potential, growth, coachableness, academic achievement, character, background, work ethic, responsibility and so much more.
 6.

I have it from someone very close to the freshman team that Morse has been selected as the starting QB on varsity next year and Walker will remain a starting CB. If that's true, and I see no reason to believe otherwise, I think Faircloth made a great decision and that both of them will serve very well in those positions.
Seriously.....The freshman has yet to take a varsity snap, hasnt even been through a high school offseason, or even competed against anyone for the job....Do you really believe this? No knock on either of them as Im sure both are more than capable. Surely you dont believe he has already been handed the job.
gotta to take that first snap sometime.... Rose will be one to watch for the Injuns next season, other than that, not to sure they will fix all of their "problems"
 7. O Neal looks good returning for SR season for BH, gotta be excited for what he can do next season, need focus on our offensive line and Speer returning in backfield as well....lots of shoes to fill, glad that BH was represented so well on all-district team.....
 8. is there any question, who is going to sit atop of 19 4A....really?  B  A  R  B  E  R  S    H I L L and yes, BH always has pitching and hitting and all of the things that makes baseball teams great!!!!

1.BH - Have pitching and David Denny 2.Kingwood Park - Always good 3.Dayton - Very young last year, returning all starters except 1. Still Jr's or Soph at 7 starting positions 4.Crosby - Pitcher Tyler Davenport (SR. Texas State)and Hunter Hearn (Newcomer of year) will lead. This should be a tough district within itself. Don't see any team running off with it. Don't know much about teams not listed above so just a guess. Will beat up on each other.
I like the looks of that. Doesn't BH always have pitching ?  ;)
9. great opportunity for the right players....come one..come all.
 10.
We are talking about hitting ..not pitching....Barrow and Richard were the top 2 hitters and one is back, along with Wood and a few others. And please dont compare guys who were hitting off under-level pitching with those hitting off Varsity pitching. Don't get me wrong, B.Smith is gonna be a good one.
B Smith is power hitter, as well as strong southpaw pitcher.  saw him hit off 85 (+)mph  pitchers last summer.  That's varsity pitching in my area.  Don't know what you have in Mid County that tops that. What about other tall Smith kid (close in age to Lefty Smith), haven't seen him in baseball circles last couple of years, kid was good as well. neederland needs all the hitting they can get. send Smith our way.....we'll know what do with him...heheheehee
