  1. Everyone will look at the skill positions that are graduating and say we don't have a chance, but that would be a mistake. The entire offensive line is back and also the defensive line. I just feel like that will be a better starting place than people think. To the seniors. You represented our school well. Everyone is proud of the effort you guys put forth. I haven't seen any negative comments on hear about the players at all. Except for the people who said we quit trying and they are dumb **** just ignore them.
  2. I keep hearing people are hurt, but when I call my buddies back home they are telling me most everyone is still playing. What one or two people could we be missing that is hurting us this bad. I mean is Salter, Driver, Richard or Viator hurt?
  3. What a disapointing start it has been for my buddies back home. So much talent on this team, but they have run into some bad breaks. I say this is the week they start to dig themselves out of the whole and regain some respect. LCM 31 Ozen 0
  4. Unless things have changed from last year you are mistake LC-M Soccer. The slogan has only been used by football. Which last year, anyway, was fine with the rest of us. I did however tell everyone how much better LCM would be this year. Now I am glad to see others jumping on the bandwagon. LCM speed is just as good as Central's for a change and size advantage is ours. Result Bears win. LCM 24 Central 10
  5. Congrats to WOS on the win. I made sure I was in town for this one. I was disappointed that the field was so bad. Neither team got to show off their speed. But I think it was a push for both teams. We will be left with what might have beens because we didn't take advantage of our goal line oppurtunities in the first half. I feel bad for this talented group of Bears. But they should be in the playoffs and that will be something special for them.
  6. All this talk about 4.4 or 4.5 doesn't matter. LCM should and most likely will dominate CC tonight. It is at home and I know CC has a good QB, but overall team strength should be on LCM's side. This is the year of the Bear and I say they start it with a bang. LCM 42 CC 7
  7. Get ready for a special season bear fans. Because these aren't your same old bears. I got a chance to see some action before I have to head off to school and man was I impressed with the athletes we have. With Driver and Salter you may be looking at the best tandom of QB/RB in the history of the school. Viator and that defense can really bring the wood. Richard and that secondary may even be faster than the beaumont schools. They did a great job last year and should only be better this year because it looks like the talent level is even higher.
  8. Way to go Legit. I know we will see you in a D-1 uniform someday.
  9. Congrats Kris. We were really glad to have you this year. You really helped us out alot this year, and made our Senior year special. We couldn't have won district without you. We have a long line of great shortstops at LCM and you took your place in line. It will be interesting to see who the next one to step up will be. And it looks like maybe LCM worked out for you as well. It is a special place. I will miss it alot.
  10. I know this. Jake gives alot of the credit to the people hitting behind him. Early in the year people were pitching around him. They then saw Richard, Cloeren, and Johnson absolutely murding them and changed their strategy some. On another note the 11 HR I don't think is a school record maybe tied it, but Coach Griff will look up all that type of stuff after the season is over. We are simply trying to focus on our series with Bay City. Jake would probably take an 0-fer if it ment the Bears win. Congratulations to all who made the team. It is a nice individual honor, but I know the LCM guys realize this is a team game, and individual awards don't win games, and no one on the all-district team could have gotten there without the rest of their teamates. So congrats to all on a fine season.
  11. No doubt pitcher Helmke. Hitter: Jake Rowell 6 for 8 2 HR, 2 2B, 5 RBI
  12. I will have to mention Jake Rowell. 4-5 2HR, DBL, 1 BB, 5 RBI's versus Nederland and Lumberton
  13. Why don't you try promoting your guys without having to put other team’s players down. It shows some real in insecurities. Just to set the record straight balls that bounce infront of the plate are called wild pitches. If you are a Dayton guy how could you have been at our game. Also the pitcher has as much to do with stolen bases as the catcher. I am sure Jake was to busy celebrating the game winning triple off of “the best pitcher in district 22-4a†to worry about this. Not sure he will get to catch at D-1 McNeese as a freshman or not. I guess if he wanted to make sure he could catch as a freshman he could have went to a D-II JUCO.
  14. Not sure all the stats, but Jake Rowell's game winning, bases loaded two out triple in the 7th should atleast be nominated. He had 4 RBI's and a double that bounced over the left field wall or he would have had 5 RBI's.
