  1. Congrats to all the local kids! Great accomplishment.

  4. Brandon Ritchie from HJ (Graduated 2004) was drafted by the Mets in the 10th round. Congrats Brandon!
  5. Coach Davis is an awesome coach. HJ is very lucky to have a guy as capable as him as an assistant. Most schools probably do not have a head coach that is as great as he is.
  6. Totally disagree with that statement. One pitcher doesn't keep a team in the playoffs. It takes a well rounded team to keep going.
  7. Lundy-HJ He has a really good arm. This kid will get a lot of recognition next year (IMO)
  8. Coach Kirkland from HJ. Took a team, that everyone had ranked almost last in their district, to the playoffs. Lot of good coaching to get them there.
  9. They did score all of their runs after Treece came out. Up to that point they only had 2 earned runs. They scored all of those runs with 2 outs also. I believe there was only 1 error in the inning. There were 3 pitchers that pitched in that inning. Just goes to show you, anything can happen in baseball.
  10. I have enjoyed tigerpride_08' s posts. Thanks for joining. You have had a lot of positive posts.
  11. Jasper is going to kill this team. HJ had them almost 10 run ruled. They really aren't good. Can't explain what happened. Jasper by 10 both games.
  12. Ditto to the last paragraph! Mine happened yesterday. I just hope as mine goes on to play at the next level he becomes as good of a leader as I feel he was on his HS team. Hopefully all the ones going on will have some more great baseball memories.
  13. Does anybody know where HJ is playing tonight since the rainout?
  14. We had two people tagged out on a rundown. I am not sure if we missed the sign or if we just weren't paying attention. It happened the same inning that we scored the run. That was the two outs we had in that inning prior to Roebuck walking.
  15. HJ did have some baserunning problems. That did cost us a couple of runs.
  16. Jackhammer the "big" 1st baseman has been hurt since the Bridge City game. I think that he will be back on Friday. He is just a sophmore and has stepped up and played well filling in where we had other people injured. He should be back at 1st I would think.
  17. I would like to nominate Coach Robb Kirkland. He is the 4th Head Coach that HJ has had in 4 years. It is tough to come in to that situation and do well, but he has. He has done a great job with our team. Every one predicted HJ to come out last or next to last in our district this year and even with some key players injured we have made some noise in our district. I attribute this to his good coaching.
  18. Was Schooling hurt? Or did he just struggle tonight?
  19. I was thinking the same thing. I think some people are just getting paranoid.
