  1. Rowell LCM plays the #1 defensive position on the field. great stopper. hit the ball. good arm. great program in a tough district and region.
  2. I say LCM 1. Ehlert signed TxA&M. Got it all. Can win the big game. Can be off and still win the big game. MVP District. Good off speed, fast ball w/ movement, and composure w/ poise. The best around. Who is better? 2. Womack signed w/ LSUE. A J.C. power house. Great change. Good Curve. Has beaten Bridge City and Nederland. Has improved with the long season. 3. Dugas. Will sign as a pitcher soon. Good slider. Good slider. Held Brehem to 1 run in 5 innings. On any other staff would be a top one or two. 4. Cassidy signed with Hill Junior College. Good fast ball, and curve. Team player. Not selfish. 5. Adams signed with Hill. Triple option as a pitcher. Has the fast ball, curve ball, and change up. Middle man on this team. Pitched great vs Klein Oak the other night to give team a chance to come back in game two. Like Cassidy another one or two on another team. This staff has won. Some of you may say they have had a good defense behind them, but I say that this is not their fault but their blessing. As Joe Torre once said, "You do not have to throw in the upper 90's to be a pitcher. Keep them off balance, location, throw strikes and location. " Finally, this staff got better as the season went along. Check out their winning streak. They did not leave potential on the field.
  3. Oh come on mif04. To take you off the hook we all know that beauty is in the eyes of the beholder. Hillary or Rice?
  4. Come on mif04 we know you have the goods on these 2. give us the real insight in what the pro/college scouts say. potential? who can win the big game consistently? whats the mental make-up of each if you know? we all know both are good and both can win on a particular night but what are the separators? as we know all good pitchers need hitting and fielding but what is the individual make-up that puts one above the other.
  5. Grif wants to make Grif happy. He goes for the jugular. Go see tomorrow to find out what will happen.
  6. For my money Ehlert is the best in the area. He can run but I don't know his 60. Can make catches on the run and off-balance. Routine is routine for him. No surprises. Arm is very good. Check his pitching records and players he has cut down taking extra bases. This year coaches and players know him and they don't run as much as in past years. He has the ablility to dominate the offensive game from the lead-off, 2, 3, or 4 position in the batting order. Great competitor when the chips are down plus a player that his teammates look up to and one that makes them better. Has this perfect game bunch evaluated him? If HE is not in that top 100, maybe this organization has not seen him or they make a mistake occasionally. Either way for me he is the best!
  7. Maybe Billy got his win last year and is just satisfied for it to stay that way?
  8. I think Womack would be a good candidate to be considered for 20 4A MVP. He has been on fire hitting, but I question fanofthegame's stat of him hitting .650 in district. I would like to see his numbers on his mound appearances before saying he is the MVP.
  9. LCM Cassidy (2) DB, Sgl. Single - Schneider, Boozer, Womack PNG Mire (2) Sgls #20 1B - Double #2 CF - Single
  10. How about 1. TALENT 2. Coaching 3. Luck, of the draw or brackets, coin flip, injuries during regular season or playoffs, how the ball bounces at a critical time in the game, and matchups at a certain time in a game. I'm sure I have left a phase out that someone can add.
  11. Give the "Bear" the benefit of the doubt. He did not say how many innings each pitcher threw. At least he gave us a report on the game. Next time give us the number of innings as I'm sure all will on this forum.
