Ol Bud may have stuck it to Harris County I wont argue that fact, but he did draft lots of Texas kids. good or bad he carried a lot of Texas with him. Mcnair is from SC and has shown very little interest in Texas Athleletes. Texas has the best athletes in the nation, in every major sport. Yes, He that shall not be named is one of those Texas kids.All Texas fans should should be ashamed of seeing such a prized athlete leave the state. Like him or not he is what you call a difference maker.

Wish we had the oilers back. At least Bud Adams drafted the Texas Kids and made things interesting. Time to fire Rick Smith and sell the team to Red Mccombs.

[/quote]    who is the chunker you are refering to and Bullock is our game #2 man and is more than up to the challenge.

Woodville is playing the best ball of the season. They have proven they are one of the top contenders in the state. The brutal pre-season schedule they played with the likes of state ranked Bridge-City, Silsbee In 3A and the injuries 2 torn Labrums 1 partialy torn labrum 1with 2 fractures in his back 1 may have tommyjohn after season and 1 with 2 pulled hamstrings. Even with all these injuries they still beat the #4 ranked team in 2A state. The best is yet to come.

There are only 3 Players I can think of that have these God given Talents Hickman Twine and Guidry of BC. I know of more kids in the area that will be special in the future. But in my opinion these are the Top 3.

Hickman pitched for Woodville Twine pitched for Hemphille Hickman had 15Ks  Twine had 11Ks  Awsome pitchers Duel , Both were bringing the GAS.

congrats to BC on the win wether you guys realize it or not, you set the standard for how baseball is to be played. you are where everyone else wants to be. Keep turning out great teams and players.

woodvilles pitchers name is Torin Hickman

Woodville is still not healthy starting pitcher only gave a glimps of how good he really is. throws quite a bit harder than tonight.  and his bat is even better than his arm. playing with a fracture in his back. 

woodville is hurting right now 2 shoulder surgeries 1 hamstring and 1 back injury.

injury bug has bitten woodville again. will not be at their best but should compete well.

This is Warrens year. These kids have been preparing for this year since they were 5 yrs old. Buna will be lucky if they are not run ruled. Warren is legit,dont know why they arent playing a tougher schedule.Kids can play on a much higher level than 2A.Coach shouldnt be scared because the kids sure arent.

I know there is lots of second guessing in Kountze. could anything have been done to prevent a second round loss. did football get in the way? This was one of the better teams to come through Kountze in a while. what happened.

The score was getting out of hand when they pulled him in the third.

The main thing working for Kelley is they have a Top notch Coach in Jimmy Neal

Lets be clear there are 3 things college coaches and scouts are looking for #1 is velocity #2 is Bat  speed #3 is Base path speed 7.0 60 or less. You will be recruited on these factors alone. most of the kids that have these tools simply are not seen by anyone other than their highschool coaches.

Yates 100  Kountze 60  Yes size and speed matter.

Both kids were sitting at 88-90 last year and I hear both have increased their long toss from goal line to goal line to goal post to goal post.

Both Twine and Hickman was getting it up near that last year another year makes a difference.

gonna be fun this year. Will get to see a couple of pitchers throw in the low to mid 90s some nasty junk ballers and some unexpected up and comers. 

I think a lot of people are over looking Hemphill. They will contend for the district championship. They only lost 2 seniors from last years squad. Twine will probably share MVP with Hickman. Heard also Twine is sitting above 90 with his fastball. Everyone in this dist struggles with velocity. Pitching will win this district.   

Newton made a great run at state, But once again how many teams from east texas are in the title game. This area used to be the most highly recruited area for college and professional atheletes. What has happened. I believe the athletes are still here, see to many in the professional ranks. What is the problem? As one poster noted earlier he would like to see certain teams fail. Why? Sadly that is the attitude of many highschool coaches. Is this the type of coach you want on your field. If you do what everyone else does you get what everyone else gets.
