Wes57- Who are "a lot of people" that think that AJ Dugat "might be a better QB than Green?" I haven't seen any effort, especially last night of the Broncos making a switch. It seems to be that Green proved last night that he has a stronger arm and was the better QB. I'm not sure if you were there or not, but the other QB that filled in for AJ, Crowder did better than AJ did. Thoughts?

another question- which area school had the highest college signing turn out? ??? and I believe that the kid from deweyville has not decided yet.. don't hold me to that.. :-\

From what I heard about the Dugat kid he didn't have those offers. He was interested in going to those schools, but even UTEP had pulled out on their offer. It was something like Kansas was offering him a partial and then he signed with West Texas. I do think that was the best decision because you can always transfer.

HJ has the loudest gym.. hands down.. It has to be miserable in there for the other teams.. Their fans are loud, and the good thing about them- they go support wherever.. I think that is great. One question- is We're spelled correctly on the shirts now? I know a few years ago everyone had the shirts that said "WERE WATCHING YOU.. LIKE A HAWK".. INSTEAD OF WE'RE.. Koutze fans along with EC are also loud. I think it's just small towns that don't have as much emphasis on football have the greater fan base for basketball. And those previously listed schools are that way.. Or so it seems.. Correct me if I'm wrong.

The Ferguson kid from HJ is really good. He's been playing for a while, I believe they have a field in the back yard. AMAZING.. That is dedication. Vidor's got some talent- Bruce, Perkins, a kid named Jessie with one heck of an arm, Orangefield- Statum, Ozen- Henton, and there's another kid.. I believe Ross Forret?? He goes to a BMT school.. not sure which one.. but he's pretty good.. Barbers Hill has some good kids too that are only playing baseball.. I'm just thinking that the 2009 class will be the talent class..

My votes have to go to Cam from Kountze and Ryan from HJ.. I've watched both of those boys play.. they've been consistant.

I expect to see great things out of Ozen's upper classmen this year.. Especially as previously mentioned Lott and Gardiner- when is their first scrimmage? ;D

I keep reading about Frank Smesny- could I get some more info on him? Does he have any older siblings that played or anything? Who else should make up this dayton team also?

Dayton played LCM in their tournament and the Barbers Hill Classic, and beat them in both games- so my money's on Dayton. The ref comment is random also, considering they aren't Dayton's refs- they are from the new district. So technically, they are LCM's refs.. b/c they've been in the district longer.. Or that's just how I would think of it..

I think some other stand outs would be Alex Henton and Ross Foret, and not to go back to the OF thing- but Jace Statum also. Vidor should have a solid team.. This year should be a good time for the young guys to shine, but they will need the leadership of the older guys to keep them grounded.
