  1. Just wanted to let everyone know that the Head coach of the Orange Crush team did stop by our practice today.  He brought the actual homerun ball and presented it to Cassidy.  All of the coaches, parents, and players clapped after the presentation.  It really took a lot of courage and integrity to do that and I appreciate him and the Orange Crush organization for presenting the ball to Cassidy today.  Thanks again to the Orange Crush organization.
  2. We practice tonight (tues, the 26th) at Ford park from 6-8 pm.  Not sure which field tonight but normally we are on field #7.  Thanks, Mike Hammersmith
  3. ********** Updated 1/16 - Wed ********* Tryouts - Saturday - College Street - 2 pm to 4 pm.  Not sure which field yet - depends on field conditions and availability.  Just look for GT Shocker 2000 - 12U. - White Jerseys and Navy pants.  Ask for me - Mike Hammersmith - Thanks... The GT Shockers 2000 (12U) are looking for 3 more solid players.  We had a successful fall by winning 1st place (out of 18) at Ford park on 11/10 and 2nd place (out of 28) at the USFA Fall state tourney on 11/17.  All positions are available for tryout.  We are part of the larger GT Shocker organization that has teams in 10U, 12U, 14U and 18U/Gold.  Check our website (gtshockers.com) for more info about our organization. If you would like more information, I encourage you to simply call me (or text) and lets setup a time to discuss and see if there is a fit.  Our plan is to finalize the team before 2/2 Thanks - Mike - 409-504-8238 (cell)
  4. I agree.  Every game we played was close.  We were down a couple runs in at least 2 of those games but the girls did not get down on themselves.  They continued to cheer and maintain a positive attitude.  They continued to fight.  We lost to a very good team in the finals - Impact - out of Houston.  Good job girls.  Looking forward to the spring.
  5. In one game, our catcher got hurt and I was very appreciative of the support from those running the tournament.  They came out onto the field with a golf cart, helped calm down our player, and assisted with getting her taken to the emergency room to be checked out.  She was fine.  The response was good.  Thanks.
  6. The 12 U GT Shockers 2000 Team is looking for a couple more players.  We play in Bmt, Lk Charles, and Houston.  We practice in Beaumont at Ford Park.  You will be able to challenge and compete for IF, OF, or P/C positions.  Call / Text Mike for more info on tryouts.(409-504-8238).  We are part of the larger GT Shocker organization (out of Beaumont) which has teams competing in the 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U levels.
