  1. No thats not what happened. A new superintendent was hired and Chuck got reassigned when he hired his buddies' kid.  Unfortunately, it happens everyday in business. New man in town wants to puff his chest out and show his muscle. Chuck was just the one coaching at that time-it didnt matter who it was, he was going to get re-assigned. I believe it happened to another coach that was formerly mentioned as well.
  2. I have known Chuck Langston my entire life. We played sports together, graduated from WBHS together, and we are still friends to this day. Chuck was an All-State football player and WBHS in 1991, went on PLAY at OU for four years under Rex Ryan-after his playing days were over he coached at OU. He went on to continue to coach at the college level for several years including head coaching positions. He has also been a HS head coach and AD. To say he knows and understands the game of football is an understatement. His work ethic and dedication will be unmatched. Chuck was born and raised here-He cares about WBHS and the community. This would be more than a job to him. I assure you, Chuck treats all kids and family with respect and will in steal proper values in each kid and will embrace each one as his own. I hope the decision makers look hard at Chuck, he will represent this community with a high degree of professionalism and will be an asset to the school, community and will be a true role model for these kids. We would be extremely fortunate to get him. Good Luck to him....
  3. My name Is Brian Cansler the coach of the Astros. Let me dissect my "stacked roster" for you--I have 7-10 year olds, I have 4 players I have not seen play and I have 2 of them I do not even know who they are.  My goal as a select coach is not to win the Ford Park Fall League I can assure you, but to look at players and give others an opportunity to play other positions they normally would not. Obviously you do not know me, and I would never play a game or do anything to embarrass a kid nor anyone else. I have 16 select events to play this year and aspiring to be the Fall Ball champs is not a priority. By the way-- I believe Jason splits up the division into two seperate brackets for the end of the year tournament, allowing for the fairness you are seeking..
  4. If anyone is interested in a tryout please email me your contact information to [email protected] or call me @ 409-284-5394. Thanks..
  5. The 11U Elite Vipers are looking to assemble an ALL STAR caliber Elite travel team for this coming season-The Best of the Best. This team will be comprised of players from the surrounding cities. We will play approximately 15-18 events per year and practice at Ford Park. This team requires absolutely zero monthly dues, upfront cost or any fund raising. For additional information please contact Brian Cansler at 409-284-5394 or email me at [email protected]. "The player’s age on April 30th determines the player’s eligible age division for the current season that includes April 30th. Players can play up an age division but can never play down."
