  1. They've done good despite losing J'Covan Brown and last Saturday let one slip away against Houston Select Black. Trumain Thomas got some minutes for the Houston team. [Hidden Content]
  2. Here's a look at the game from the other side. [Hidden Content]
  3. I'd say they have a decent chance. Congrats to them on being named the Team of the Year! [Hidden Content]
  4. All 3 teams have looked good in winning this weekend! Ozen vs. Dunbar [Hidden Content] H-J vs. Chapel Hill [Hidden Content] Kountze vs. Whitewright - [Hidden Content] Don't forget to check out Ozen today in the AT&T Blueroom! Good luck to the Panthers!
  5. H.J. - a team of destiny will win another close one. But they'll need to play a little better than they did today to pull it off.
  6. Virtual high fives all the way around! It wasn't pretty but Donahoe got the job done with a good effort from Jarvis Bernard. Nip and tuck all the way but a 52-47 win at the end!
  7. Here's a good article on Coach Boutte from the Fort Worth Star Telegram - [Hidden Content]
  8. He's done one of his better coaching jobs this year and I wouldn't be surprised if he didn't pull the upset Thursday night. It won't be easy though, they'll have to play their best game.
  9. Boutte has a very impressive resume. It's easy to win with guys like Kendrick Perkins but he's shown he can do it without the best talent too. Defintely one of the best coaches in the state and this year has been one of his better coaching jobs.
  10. Haven't seen Ozen play since earlier in the year and they were pretty up-tempo in the games I saw, however if you look at their scores in the playoffs, they have slowed things down quite a bit. Here's a good look at both teams and the one word that comes to mind - athleticism! [Hidden Content]

  12. DeAndre Brown and Darious Jones (6th man) are the key players for Dunbar.
  13. His play throughout the year was impressive but his performance in Tyler in particular was a big reason why they made it to Austin.
  14. 2 very evenly matched teams with good guard play being the common thread. I give Dunbar a slight edge in this one but make no mistake - this Dunbar team is not nearly as talented as the one that won state with Jeremis Smith and Lance Jackson. There is no one that comes close to being as good as those 2. Should be very entertaining with both teams looking to play an up tempo style. Whichever team can execute better in the half court probably takes it. I'm thinking Dunbar by 6-8 points. Here's a few of their games to give you an idea of what they've got. 15. One of the top 2 way players in the state was fabulous against Tatum. He is a big reason why the Bucs made it to Austin! [Hidden Content]
  16. Here's a glimpse of them in highlights from earlier this week - [Hidden Content]
  17. It says a lot that these 2 are still playing! Good luck to both tonight and let's all pull for an all Southeast Texas Regional Final. Kountz looked especially impressive in their game earlier this week. [Hidden Content]
  18. I'm really surprised they didn't win a playoff game. A good season but I'm sure they're disappointed.
  19. No luck yet - is there maybe a rec center? Or would it be at the junior high? Thx.
  20. I'm assuming tonight's doubleheader at Barbers Hill is being played at the High School but there's nobody here. Anyone know where else the game might be at?
  21. Here's a good recap of some of the top names from the area. [Hidden Content] Congratulations to all the kids who will be moving on to the next level!
  22. My bad, I left out Kountze. I think it's either them or Hardin-Jefferson that goes the farthest. Playoffs can't get here soon enough, good luck to all these teams!
  23. The playoffs are now just a couple of weeks away, so let's get a pulse on who everyone likes. These are the teams that appear to have the best chance of doing something special: PAM Ozen West Brook Hardin-Jefferson WO-S Which of these teams goes the farthest? Here's a good breakdown of who's hot and what may happen. [Hidden Content]
  24. Would have loved to seen this one in person but the highlights looked pretty good - W.O.S. is extremely athletic! [Hidden Content]
  25. Maybe the best team since big Kendrick left, I was highly impressed with the win over Central. Here's some highlights for those of you who weren't on hand to witness it. [Hidden Content]
