  1. Lovelady wins game 3 7-5 to advance to their first ever state tournament trip.
  2. He is going to Sam Houston if he is not drafted. Heard Pittsburgh is looking at him.
  3. Unless your district has rules covering this, the game will have to start over.
  4. Being on the lineup card doesn't count as playing, you actually have to play in the game for it to count. As stated earlier, each player has a set # of games for the season. Don't know the schools or the situation, but if the team or players(all players) knew what was going on before hand then what is the problem? This happens alot, more in smaller schools, but it does happen.
  5. Lovelady is far from peek. They are about in mid-December form. They didn't play their first game until Dec. 28, didn't have first practice until Dec. 18, have a new coach, and lost 3 projected starters(2 football injuries and 1 move off). As most teams in mid-December they can struggle at times. Big Sandy will be a tough game for them. Big Sandy is big, strong, patient, and well-coached. The winner will have to play their best game of the year. Lovelady will only get better the longer they stay in the playoffs.
  6. Broaddus beat Grapeland, West Sabine got beat badly by Big Sandy, and they rest of the district isn't very strong. The only games of them that I saw were against Broaddus so I don't know how they played against anybody else.
  7. West Sabine won't be competing in that district. Their district is tough, but I think they will be very good, as well as Groveton and Lovelady. Burkeville will be improved. Not sure about Colmesneil and Chester will be the same. 23A 1.Groveton/Lovelady/West Sabine 2.above 3.above 4.Burkeville 5.Colmesneil 6.Chester 1-3 could fall in any order. Doesn't matter much. Groveton will go big and Lovelady and West Sabine have the potential to go along way again.
  8. Lovelady is still playing and Groveton may be the second best in region 3(div 1 or 2) and had to play the best, Alto, last week.
  9. I have seen both teams play and if West Sabine can hang on to the ball(they haven't done that very well) this will not be a very close game. Both running backs and the qb are extremely fast. Groveton, Grapeland, and Lovelady had their hands full with those 3, if not for turnovers they had a chance in all 3 games. Without turnovers I'll say WS-35 Cayuga-14, but the turnovers are one of the reasons we play. If Cayuga plays hard and can force some turnovers, it can be a good game.
