alright, to all you haters out there that didn't think Montgomery could win, didn't think that Montgomery's D could hold Merka! Well i have one thing to say: 42-21!!! That wasn't even our best day. Montgomery has a great chance this year and we just proved a lot of people wrong!!!!

Rcole68 that's exactly right!! i love the way you put that because it is going to be a war till the very end! I can't wait to step on that field and see who the real champions are. Not only is leroy still there, our passing game is 100x better than it was last year!! Montgomery by AT LEAST two

okay first of all, one half doesnt mean a thing. you can say all you want about Crosby being close to us at the half, but the truth is: it doesnt matter!!! Wins and losses are not determined by who won the first half or who won the second half. They're about who won the whole game. and who was that again? o yeah, Montgomery. Pretty convincingly I might add. Merka is the type of quarterback who can change a game, but at the same time one person is not going to beat our defense. Our defense has proven once this year that they can shut down Merka, do we have to do it again? We've proven that we can shut out teams and that we can stop a duel threat QB more than once. To add to that, our offense is at it's peak right now. Our passing game is working the best that it's ever worked and we still have Leroy. I think this one goes to Montgomery.... again!

hahah well if we did that then that would apply, but three out of those five they went in before the fourth quarter and houston jones the second and third stringers pretty much played the whole game

okay, to everyone who has said that Montgomery's defense has averaged a lot more ppg than Brenham's 3.6: You are totally correct. But, i have to ask you: how many games has Brenham had their second string in??? Montgomery has put their second/and or third string in five out of the six games we've played. Unless Brenham can say that they've done that also, then that stat is non-comparable!  ;)

I play for montgomery and after watching Brenham film I will say that they are an excellent team this year, but nonetheless they are not unbeatable! our coaches are great and we have a great game plan to stop their offense. Our defense, after all, did hold Waller to less rushing yards than Brenham did. Brenham's defense is unbelievably good, but as you can see Leroy is coming back so that is a huge boost. We have tons of playmakers on offense and defense that could close this game out and win it for Montgomery. On top of that we now have a place kicker who is very good at making field goals and our special teams has some good stuff in store! All in all, Mongomery has never beaten Brenham for as long as they've been in our district, so our heart are on fire and the energy is there! Everybody on the team wants to win this game more than anything else. I think Montgomery comes out with the win, but it will come down to the end. I'm not saying anything against Brenham. They are a very well coached team and very skilled, but i think Montgomery wins in a close one. And to Biaplayer.. We not only stopped crosby's quarterback (Dominic merka- a TCU commit) but we also have stopped spring's quarterback, Waller's quarterback, Houston Jones's quarterback (not really fair but still counts) and Stratford's quarterback-- All dual threat quarterbacks. I'm pretty sure that we've proved that we can handle the dual threat.
