EC's defense will be much improved with new defensive coach and the bucs only lost 4 starters. They will be under the leadership of Paul Trammel and Tramain Thomas. They also have quick defensive linemen.

EC plays Buna for homecoming.

I think he said that their is 27-30 different looks he can make with his defensive package. Another thing he said was that with the team speed everyone should be around the ball every play.

I believe they are returning 5 starters to offense and 8 or 9 to defense. They lost 3 of the 5 linemen last year, but I think they are covered pretty well for this season. I agree with Bucfan, the bucs are going to have everyone watching them and everyone playing their best game against them. I believe if they take the season one game at a time, they can go 10-0. But they can't just think that they will win when they walk out on the field.

I can't wait to see Tramain Thomas and Paul Trammell from EC.

I didn't say Buna wasn't going to give EC a run for their money. Now I am. EC will beat Buna, especially since its in Winnie! Go Bucs!

Buna has talent in the class of 2008 and 2009, thats real good and athletic, So look for Buna winning District. by AISD Buna isn't the only school in the district that has talent in the class of 08, 09, almost every school has players that are athletic and good. Its going to be a tough district this year. 1. EC 2. Buna 3. Deweyville/Anahuac/Warren

This is going to be a good district this year. I have to stick with my boys from EC winning it. Buna and Deweyville will be right behind them. You also have to put Anahuac and Warren in the picture as well. Kountze and Hardin may shock some people as well.

I remember the EC-HJ game. I thought after EC scored the touchdown they were already up by 1. When our kicker made and the coaches jumped up and down I didn't know why. Then I looked at the scoreboard, I started jumping to.

Got to put Tramain Thomas on the list.

Our boys were actually disapointed in a way when they found out they didn't play Newton in the first round last year. They were excited to get a chance to play and get revenge for the last two years. Who knows what would have happened. East Chambers is returning a lot of talent and I think could make the deepest run the have ever made next year. Who knows, maybe we can see EC vs. Newton.

Gulf Coast got disqualified because the coach was trying to give the two alternates playing time but didn't tell the bookeeper and so they only qualified 9 players that weren't alternates. Something like that.

I think East Chambers needs to be on the list. The Bucs have gone to playoffs for 14 years in a row I think. They may have not made it far, but they still dominate regular season. Just throwing it out there.

The Regional tournament in Van Vleck was a joke! In majors Gulf Coast beat Cleveland by 3 and Van Vleck beat HF by 3-5 I think. Then HF beat Cleveland and Van Vleck beat Gulf Coast by 8. The story for Van Vleck was they had a kid who was 6 foot 2 probably. After the tournament was over someone said that he was 14. At the beginning of the 4th quarter during the HF GC game, Gulf Coast got disqualified. The tournament was unorganized and pathetic. Some may disagree but I say pathetic. Great job by the players of Gulf Coast and HF, you represented our area great! Good luck HF at nationals.

I was thinking this game to. EC had scored a couple of touchdowns on defense as well. This is the game the Bucs couldn't make an extra point.

I know as of now EC is not in any danger of moving up to 3A, but the school is growing.

That was a crazy game! EC up by 15-20 pts, then HJ goes up. EC recovers a fumble, then a td and extra pt with closing seconds. Yep I remember!

Gulf Coast Vs. Nederland today at 12:30 I believe.

Also the EC vs. HF game is always fun to watch.

Gulf Coast (EC) is in a regional with Van Vleck, Cleveland, Anahuac and HF. The regionals are in Van Vleck, which is 3 hours away. Gulf Coast has the talent to do good in the tournament. Not sure on the others. Gulf Coast lost to Beaumont tonight 38-32. Beat Twin County 40-32 last night.

That still is beating the 3A state champs. The other two games were close if I remember right. All I am saying is EC is better than #15.

I also have to disagree, EC beat the 3A state champs once and 2A state champs twice, they deserve to be in the top 5, not #15!!!
