    THE KICKING GAME NEEDS HELP!  IN COLLEGE YOU NEED TO KICK AT LEAST TO THE 5 YARD LINE OR THE END ZONE EVERY KICK OFF IF YOU PLAN TO TAKE IT TO THE NEXT LEVEL.  THE KICKER NOW IS NOT CONSISTENT AND HAS A WEAK LEG, NOT IMPRESSED AT ALL.  HOPEFULLY THEY HAVE SOMEONE ELSE THEY CAN TURN TO FOR THE SFA GAME OR FUTURE GAMES.  NO ONE IS SAYING ANYTHING ABOUT THE PUNTER CAN HE KICK OFF?  THEY NEED TO HAVE ANOTHER TRY OUT FOR THAT POSITION TO HELP THE TEAM. ON ANOTHER NOTE, CONGRATULATIONS CARDS ON A GREAT WIN LAST NIGHT CAN'T WAIT TO SEE YOU NEXT WEEK AT SFA.

    NO DOUBT THE NEDERLAND KICKER HAS A BETTER LEG THAN THE ALL STATE KICKER LAMAR HAS NOW! I HAVE SEEN HIM AND I KNOW IN KICKOFFS HE KICKS OUT OF THE END ZONE AND THE LAMAR KICKER CANT SEEM TO BE CONSISTENT AND ONLY AVERAGES TO THE 15-20 YARD LINE.  I HOPE WOODARD HAS A BACK UP PLAN BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE THE CURRENT KICKER IS NOT DOING HIS JOB.  I AM NOT SURE ABOUT HIM GETTING BEAT OUT, BUT IF YOU WATCHED THE NEDERLAND KICKER LAST YEAR YOU WOULD KNOW HE CAN OUT KICK STOUT.

    I am concerned about the kicking game, from what I have seen the past 2 games looks like the kid is struggling.  Kick Offs need special attention, in college you do not KICK OFF to the 30, 20, etc.  The atmosphere Saturday was unbelievable from all the tailgating to the KICK OFF.  Everybody was so excited for LAMAR to be back,  but like Woodard has said they are a young team and there are things that need to be worked on.  It is obvious that special teams need some work.

    I have seen this kid kick and he does have a leg.  In the All Star game which was played in Port Neches in June  he kicked the ball out the back of the end zone during kick offs which earned him the Co-MVP of the Summer All Star Football Game, During his warm ups of a playoff game he was kicking 61 yard Field Goals, pretty impressive if you ask me. He also got private lessons from Matt Bryant.  I wish him well and I know he will be playing somewhere on Saturdays but only wish he was playing for LAMAR.
