does that mean they started as 10 graders? in 4a? most of the 2 &3a teams i have seen this year are full of seniors and kids with experience and some of these schools don't have 200 boys in the entire high school. It sounds like there just aren't enough kids in the program. i believe robertson is a good coach and i think in the long run the pirates will be fine. it sounds like there will be lots of players who are seniors with experience next year. good luck in district i think you just might suprise a few teams.

why aren't there more seniors on the team? Vidor is a 4a school there should be plenty of kids with experience on the team.

most of the local 3a teams have some good shooters on their teams, i would have to say the top 4 are Paul Sims Zach Hayes Jarvis Benard Shannon Robinson not to tke anything away form any one else it is early i'm sure the list will change

me and a co-worker were just discussing this and i have to say i have seen a few realy good refs (wish we could have them at every game) but for the most part this year they have been worst than the last few years. from what i've seen they appear to take sides in some games ??? i don't realy understand that. my co-worker was watching a game this week where he said one team had 24 - 26 fouls just in the 2nd half and with a minute to go the other team finaly got into bonus for the first time during the game he said the fans were going crazy, there was lots of tention on the court, he said he doesn't know how there wasn't a stand clearing brawl! he said one team was getting hit and knocked down with no call (these were not even questionable calls) and the other couldn't bump into anyone without getting a foul. personaly i find this very sad all of these youg men have worked very hard and deserve a fairly called game i realy don't care if it is good or bad JUST THE SAME FOR BOTH TEAMS! theses young men and woman deserve better!

the ref's seem to be very inconsistent this year for some reason, maybe they are just more sensitive or something, it seems that if the crowd doesn't like a call the players on the court get punished! anyway CONGRATS! to silsbee and, hey, GREAT! job Bobcats!!!!!! great game by both, district is going to be exciting!

well said! I couldnt agree more! after all the games are played on school property and i would hope that this behavior is not exceptable at school. you should also remember that you are representing your school and city the impression you make at these games is what people think of your school and the people that live in your commuinty

Talk about the game of the week! maybe it should be the game of the strong! ;D i think it will be a high scoreing exciting game to early to predict score but i would go with HJ at home

i think folsom is #14. in the 3 games i saw deweyville play in the Evadale tournament he played alot i whould say half of the time in all 3 games i think he was with the starters some during our game, and i dont remember him scoreing more than a basket I dont know why he would be complaining about playing time. I remember seeing him on the court alot when we came to Deweyville also. you seem to have a solid team, i hope this is just a rumor, i know alot of players on other teams who would like to see that much court time. and there are alot of us parents sure would like to see our boys on the court that much JMO

a few years ago a saw an Ozen game played in their old gym (redoing the floor or something in the main one) it was unbelivable i would say it has to be the worst place to have to come and play in the area!!! now for gyms being used LCM would be in the top 5 so would Anahuac and warren and HJ and for some reason i don't like PNG (mabe the purple!) sorry JMO

congrats to HJ I have to agree with a previous post LCM has the toughest environment around their gym is older and very loud, the seating is uncomfortable, & last time i was there the lighting wasn't up to par and not to mention the student section great job HJ good luck in your next game

I'v got to agree, after HJ and Silsbee it's going to be a toss up for 3rd and everyone needs to not take BC so lightly, i'm not saying they are in the run for the 3 spot but they may play the spoiler to some one

??? I thought that was the big guy on the team's job (not shooting 3's) and i'll agree that Jimmy is good but which of the starting 5 do you think should sit instead. in the 2 games that i've seen, jimmy makes the second group much stronger, not sure i would change anything (at least not until jimmys shoulder is stronger, mabe not then they need someone like him in that 2nd group, JMO)

I knew Coach Hallman had some health issues, but didn't realize that they were serious. Best wishes to Coach Hallman and the Pirate team.

I think we have another week before we can even try to figure this out. Spot 3 is open, anyone can take it (well mabe not Ozen). 1 or 2 will be hard to take from Cantral or Dayton, I think after Friday we'll have a better feel for things. Anyone can suprise anyone on any Friday!!!
