I would have expected a lot more considering they have had months to prepare... Comparing the various start-up programs through the years, reminding the media about Lamar's history and that they were a SLC power in the 60s and 70s, chronicling the timeline since the student vote, etc... Pretty poor if you put the media attention side by side with Georgia State and South Alabama.

They are scheduled to be doing the suites announcement this afternoon... 7 total with 3-year committments.

They are having an announcement on the suites later this week. They are stuffing them in front of the Montagne on the North end of the stadium. Not sure how this will look but assuming they do something to mirror the athletic complex, it only seems logical that they would be forced to update the facade of the arena at that time. But we have some goofy people making decisions right now so as with everything else, it will be a wait and see... and pray a lot!

I can't recall if it has been mentioned on here in the past but hasn't there been talk of Lamar playing at Hawaii in the future? I thought Woodard mentioned it a while ago. I know UCA went there last year. Charleston Southern and UC Davis are going there the next two years for guarantees. I think I heard LU will play there in 2012 with an announcement coming soon. May not be the best outcome but maybe it can help with recruiting by mentioning kids will be playing at Hawaii and potentially a Big 12 school or two during their time in Beaumont.

I find this article humorus because he has all these facts but no quotes from Roc or Miles to substantiate stuff. And I seriously doubt Lopez starts. I think we will see a combo of Harris, Minor, Lopez and Mathis doing various point guard duties. I am excited that Harper will be back. As inconsistent as he has been, at least he is well rested so his foot might not bother him as much as it had before he missed the last couple of games. He also is missing one of the scenarios for Lamar getting into the tournament, which he could have found if he went to the Southland site which has them all laid out plain (sort of) as day.
