1.
Let's pleqse just stop the madness and play baseball. This particular forum is making our baseball area look very bad. I coach a local team and its nice to have a place to play local, whether it be nations or usssa. If we continue this, nobody will want to come play in beaumont, but the locals. So we would have to either play the same people over and over in beaumont or travel every weekend. Different people have different opinions on nations or usssa. If you don't like one or the other, play the one you like. But as far as all this talk, let's cut it out. After all, we are out there for the kids! BTW.....don't let em get you down Robbie!
Agree.  From a coachs standpoint, I have options.  Although I intend to play Nations I may end up playing a couple of ussa tournaments.  In my opinion, USSA sucked when we played it, granted that was 4 yrs ago.  This Tillery guy seems to be trying to change that.  Don't know him and wish him the best of luck, he's damn sure putting forth the effort.  Same goes for Walker, he's stepped up his game against the competition and is filling brackets.  Kudos to him in his efforts as well.  Point being, there are now alot of people at Ford Park every weekend.  We all know what a financial nightmare Ford Park has proven to be for the county, so rather than piss and moan about "who's best", lets focus on making Ford Park the  premier place to be when it comes to baseball in Southeast Texas.

 6.
The 8u Roughrider team from last year is still together and moving up to 9U this year.  They already have all of their uniforms, equipment, etc.  Just wondering why the teams are named the same if they are not affiliated.  I guess all of the other good names were taken.
I have been a coach with the now 13u Roughriders since they were 9, so once we decided to form a team in this age group it was only logical for us to continue the Roughriders.  Sorry if this is a source of grief for you, that certainly wasn't my intent.  Best of luck to you guys.
 7.
So there are going to be 2  9U Roughrider teams this year?
I spoke with a guy from Nederland about possibly combining the programs, not sure if anything will develop from that conversation.  There seems to be a misconception that our team is strictly for Port Neches/Groves kids, which is not the case.  I encourage kids from anywhere in the area to come try out.
