Given Lumberton's superior talent, I must then assume that PN-G had superior coaching.
Kelly Girls beat both teams...limiting the Texas higher scorer to 1 goal in 2 matches and the Forward of the year to 2 shots in their 1 meeting...Kaitlyn and Chloe both hold a warm place in my heart.. They are both incredibly hard working young ladies... But the fact remains the Best soccer players in SETX reside at Kelly High School at this current time....Horning, Afshar, Dykeman, Prince, Long and company .... 3-0 against Lumberton and PN-G and more wins if you go back to their freshman and sophmore years.. This hurts me to say but I am going to say it anyway and probably delete it tomorrow. Chloe scored 50+ goals on the rest of the state. NOT THE BULLDOGS OF KELLY HIGH!!!! Said it loud, I am BLUE and I am Proud... James Brown lol!  West Brook and Kelly should have had more representation... I Can hear Watash now.. RIP put down the mouse  and back away from the computer.. ;D
Not necessarily ALL of the best players in SETX, that's pushing it. But I will say that each one of thoe girls you named should have one of these titles. Horning for Defensive Player of the Year ( she got ), Prince for Untility Player of the Year, and Afshar for Midfield or Utility up against Prince... hands down. Lumberton parents just show to be more "supportive" on this site :P Kelly is fortunate to have a high school team stacked with Div 1 and Premier players unlike most, and it shows! Very talented girls on that team.

I'd like to konw about Molly James and what she accomplished this year before I make my vote! Anyone?
That is exactly why we need to have the ALL SETX tournament!
Do you think we could make this happen?

 4. I have seen Zach play many times and that kid is a great soccer player. I'm not surprised he's one of the few to be continuing his soccer career in college. I wish him the best of luck, make setx proud!
 5.
Comeback from major knee surgery and get Utility Player of Year in her district, LW has my vote
And what a great comeback it was, mine as well.

It's a different story when you put elite players on both sides of the field. I'll give my girl Chloe the nod since ZP is not in the race. 50 goals are 50 goals Wow the results startled me.. Stowey as we call her did score 2 goals to Chloe's 1 on Sunday against Eclipse white. Good Job Kaitlyn... Oh it's on now little shark tooth. I know your going to go off next Sunday!!!!!! ;D
Didn't Chloe do the dirty work to get the ball in position to assist BOTH of "stowey's" goals though? And also scoring one of her own? In fact, one of her goals was from a strong shot by Chloe that the keeper couldn't catch cleanly.. resulting in Kaitlyn tapping it in off the deflection. The other, Chloe beat two defenders and instead of taking the shot she passed it inside to Kaitlyn for the tap in. I'm not taking any credit away from Kaitlyn, it was a great job on her part for being in the right place at the right time. Just wanted to state the facts!
Chloe is that you? I voted for you as Forward of the Year did you not get the memo! Yes you were correct that you did the dirty work, and had the power shot deflect off of the goalie. If not Chloe than who is this because your sure know all the details. I am laughing hard right now.  But the facts remain Stowey 2- Chloey 1
No this is not Chloe, I would hope that parents wouldn't let their kids (being players) have a screename for this though now that that's brought up, am I right? Hm. However rip, I would still like to keep my identity under wraps.. sorry :P But I may be a friend of a parent:) You are correct though, Stowey recieves recognition for the actual goals!
You have me curious now Frogger...  You are a fan of LW and know enough details about the actual game that you  had to be in attendance HMMM?
Like I previously stated.. I'm a friend of a parent, I keep up with these girls.

No contest.
that cracked me up...... I am still laughing. That's cool, if they out man us then they have the right to win the contest. I am still laughing!!!!!
I'm gonna have to agree! I just looked on every poll, and on each where there was a lumberton player she was either in the lead or 2nd highest! Funny stuff!
 8. And I Lauren Washburn! After suffering a knee injury last year I believe she came back with a very strong season!

 11.
Stacy Dolan, Freshman from WB.  Shutout ALL Southeast Texas teams. YES, that includes PNG, Nederland, Lumberton.  Just sayin......
When PNG and WB played PNG actually scored twice, but both goals were taken away. I understand that they did not count and someone will probably have something to say about this.. but the ball did hit the back of the net. Tatum Crochet should be added to this list. She only allowed one goal in district play.
 12.
If any player has scored 3 times and their team is up 3 or 4 goals then they should pass to others. On the other hand, if it is a one or two goal difference regardless of how many goals a single player has scored, then the best scorer should score until game is secured. Scoring more than 3 goals in a blow out or double digit win is questionable
Why are you making it sound like she just took the ball and scored as much as she could? If you ever attended a PNG game.. you would have seen that, shockingly, she actually passed more than she shot in the games against the weak teams. Also, the team usually wasn't "up" three or four goals by the team she scored.. she was the one to score those first three or four goals.. then she was either taken out for the rest of the game or stayed in the game to playmake and provide her teammates with looks at the goal. However, we all have our opinions and make assumptions.. but if you insist on taking credit away from where it is due, at least have a better reason than blaming it on her supposedly "scoring excessively against weaker teams"  being the reason she got her state high 57. Because, again for the record, she also scored 3 against nederland, and 2 against them in the first meeting... does that make nederland to be considered a "weaker" team also? No, I think not.
 13.
I think it is terrific that soccer is being recognized in Southeast Texas. The only issue that I have I feel it is "unsportsmanlike" for a player to be allowed to score as many goals as they can against teams that are considerably weaker. I know lots of players who if given the opportunity could score as much as they wanted would have easily surpassed the highest scoring offensive player, but because of ethical coaching they were told to hold back. In fact, the Kelly team is not allowed to score double digits in any game. I must also politely say at the PNG game the goal was taken away because your referee said it was offsides, so that game was scoreless. That made a total two losses.
Obviously you are reffering to the Girls Player of the Year. So, for the record, the most she scored in a single game was 4 goals.. and that was only in two games out of the 25 i believe it was? Coach Aimee Bates would sit her after her third.. in the games she scored four in the fourth was scored while waiting for the sub to take her out. 57 goals is no easy task. Also, PNG played a tough pre season where Chaisson scored most of her goals, she actually scored less in district due to the constant subbing out while playing all of the weak teams where she could have easily scored more than an average of 3 (anyone could have). She showed her goal scoring ability consistently throughout the entire season. That being said.. she (as you said other girls could have scored more) also could have scored more than her state high 57, but was held back. No need to try and take away credit from a deserving player, THAT is "unsportsmanlike."
 14.
I agree with everything you said Watash...Except the part of holding Chloe Chiasson Scoreless...She scored in the first meeting of the year between Kelly and PNG at the Kelly Tournament when Kelly won 3-1.  Congrats to all the girls named on the team!
She also scored in the second meeting but the goal was taken away. Regardless, Kelly has a very strong defense and many of these girls, including Chloe, are back in season with Spindletop. Good luck girls!
 15. Lumberton does not have a chance against Midway. You can't expect to beat such a strong team when you lose to the best local teams such as PNG. 3-0 was the score, and in no way was it close to being the other way around. Nederland is a better team than Lumberton, they just got unlucky with putting the ball in the back of the net. The shots on goal were something like 24-4, Nederland. The Lady Raiders were faced with a district runner-up Nederland for their sectional round, who PNG also beat 3-0 and 3-1. So out of these three teams, Lumberton is the last one that would actually have a chance at achieving success in this coming up round. If Lumberton were to have faced a more difficult team in the sectional round they would already be out, without question. Any team out of the the Dallas area will only embarrass them. That being said, I wouldn't say the Lumberton coach is the best in the area, or even close. A good coach? Yes. Best? No. I predict a 9-0 game.. if not worse.
 16. He also has a few girls from England. Two of which I hear were wanted by Texas A&M, but instead they chose Lamar. Dewi is going to build an incredible program, it may take some time, but he's getting there. And I can't wait to see what comes of it!
 17. Thanks. As her non-step dad  ;D we are all proud of her. I know her mother is!
Well congrats! Y'all should be!
 18. 106 goals a game meant she was averaging about 5 a game, which means she was probably allowed to score as many as she could against the bad teams... i had games in high school where i had a hat trick in the first 15 minutes or so, but i would then either go sit the bench or go back and get some work in at sweeper.
This is how coach Aimee Bates plays her team during the bad games, also. Not only to Chloe, but also anyone who begins to score excessively. From the games I saw, many girls would be taken out in the first 10 or 15 minutes sometimes because of already scoring 4. In fact, correct me if I'm wrong, but i believe the most Chloe has scored in a single game has been 4.. and that was only in 2 or 3 games.
 19. My mistake. I thought she had 106 in her high school career, not in a season!
 20. From what I have seen over the years, Washburn is a very talented player. Playing great soccer on both ends of the field.. Great job!
 21. According to the Beaumont Enterprise... PNG's Chloe Chiasson is the top scoring girls soccer player in Texas with 50 goals; now holding the state record. Wow. Let's hear it!
 22. A great win for the Lady Indians! PNG goals: #1 Megan Elam (1)               #7 Chloe Chiasson (2)            assists: Megan Elam (1)                 Chloe Chiasson (1) Hard fought match between the two, very entertaining game to watch! I'm already anxious to see these two teams meet again, next on nederland's home ground. Til then, good luck to both teams with the rest of District!
 23. I hear this is the Kelly's keepers first season to play soccer, correct me if I'm wrong, but regardless she is doing a fantastic job keeping Kelly at the top.
 24. Chloe Chiasson for PNG has 29 goals for the season so far, PNG just played their third district game this past week.
