Sorry, if I ruffled your feathers. I call it as I see it, and I'm not just badmouthing Dvill. You can pull up my old post and find where I even disliked some of the things Buna has done in the past as well. Perhaps its all taken out of context? All I know is that this is a rivalry, and it just keeps getting bigger and bigger. As far as the PARENTS, TEACHERS, FRIENDS and FAMILY going on the field, I guess once again we are the ones that stick to the rules set by the UIL. The UIL states that all fans are to remain off the playing field until ALL players, coaches, and performers are off the field. You can also see that I have never badmouthed a kid or will I ever. I was a kid once and I'm sure I've done some crazy stuff in the heat of the moment as well. Remember its all fun, even for us adults. With that said good luck Dvill and hope to see you in the playoffs. Perhaps we could play the first ever playoff game at the new reservation. With that being said I'm out. Talk to you next year.

Remember when TO tried to dance on the Cowbotys star a few years back.

Every time Buna wins a game the refs gave it to us. Every time we play Dville we have no class, and our coaches let us get away with murder. Both teams played a good game. Buna is just the better team. As far as Buna not having class, you did not see our fans on the field after the game. And believe me we were not scared. What was it about 100 Dville fans to 3,000 Buna. The way I see it, it started when a couple of your guys showed up at our peprally on Thursday. Then it was the flag thing. Finally, after the butt spanking when we reclamed our 50 yard line, your boys still tried to take it over. Buna won period. We are the better team period.

I'm pulling for Kountze in this one, but my gut says I'm going to be disappointed. Kountze-21 Anahuac-31

go to the Buna stadium and sit on the visitor side in the stands and there is a light pole that blocks your view when you are trying to watch the game. No matter where you sit it gets in the way at some point. We have never been to a stadium where a light pole is put right in front of the visitors stands. It is just a little awkward that is all. It sucks to miss a good play because the pole gets in the way. With as many pirate fans that are at all games it isn't like you can just move to get the pole out of your line of vision. No big deal. The important thing is supporting the players and cheering them on to victory. Home field advantage

In 1957, Buna could boast not only the 2A state champion but laid claim to the best team in Texas label. The Cougars beat the 4A champion Port Arthur twice and the 3A champion Smiley, plus the class B champion Big Sandy. That 40-0 state championship team was led by the Stanley twins, Pat and Don, who went on to star at Texas A&M.

Compare these stats to other area schools. From 1954 until his retirement in 1963, his Cougar teams won 124 consecutive district games, had win streaks of 66 and 57 games and won seven state championships including undefeated seasons in 1956-‘57 and 1960-61.
