Yes we have had a big head since district started. After the horrible football that the offense played against Warren, we realized that teams are not going to lay down and give us the game. Warren played dirty, but they played tough. From now until the end, there will be a new offense on the field. Anahuac has been tough in the past, but they are overpowered this year.

I'm not saying that we dominate over all teams in our district, I'm saying with our speed and the expierence of the Offensive line, we will go undefeated and win district. We havn't played Buna yet, but I believe DV will have the second spot with Warren bringing up third place. Warren has a fairly tough D-Line. We played really bad against Warren, and they played dirty. As long as DV keeps #44 and Williams healthy and in the game they will be 5-1 in district. Good luck to all teams out there in distict and the playoffs.

All I can say really is the senior class at EC has never lost to Warren in football. I believe the freshman year was the only year that we didn't play Warren. EC has the same offensive team as last year with more size, speed, and experience. As for defense, it's time that we step it up and let 30+ points of the board

DV played really tough as we expected. They hit hard and brought the hat every play. Yes there was a bit of unsportsmanlike conduct done by DV in dog piles and tackles that refs never saw, or never called. Our offense played great, probably the best yet, but our defense fell apart on a few certain plays that DV took advantage of. DV ran a lot of trick plays that we were not use to seeing. The schools we played this year thought they could run straight at us. DV did both to the defense. DV played hard as expected. Good luck to you in district and the playoffs.

And to think...Anahuac was picked to win the district

We've been playin' our tail ends off against these 3A teams. From what I understand DV has been playin' hard too. I can't wait for a good solid game against DV. Last year was a good one and I hope this year will be better. As a team E.C. looks forward to playin' DV every year because no matter what the records are or who has the most talent, DV always plays a hard game and doesn't lay down. Of course I'm gonna say E.C. on top, but I plan on walking off that field knowing that that is going to be the best district game played all year. Everyone from DV that comes down should go to the Rice Festival after the game. Good food and Good Music is a good way to relax after a hard fought game.
