  1. I'm sure you break wind in your living room at home too, but when you do it in someone else's living room it's rude!
  2. So how long are the BC fans, coaches, and players suppose to remain good sports before we get mad? rude or what?? In a game that everyone on this board concedes to the Mustangs before the opening kick off, is it necessary for the WOS players to run directly to the mascot in the center of the field and jump up and down? not only at the beginning of the game but at the half with a huge lead? According to the annoucer at the beginning of the game it is against the rules to have horns and bells, but the fans have to listen to the train horn every time the Mustangs score. I don't care about the score, or who won or lost. Go ahead and work on your passing game, keep your starters sharp for the play offs, thats what any team would do. But does a 9-0 team facing a 0-9 team really have to resort to stomping to mascot and waving their flag in the field of the defeated foe to make themselves feel like champions? I believe there is a big difference in being undefeated and being a champion.
  3. We have a junior on the team and a boy that graduated last year and what we have seen since they were in junior high, is coaches not taking the time to teach them how to tackle properly. Maybe it is just assumed that they should know, but in my opinion, we have suffered from a lack of basic fundamentals year after year. Of course, that is just my opinion. :-\
  4. "As for a resident of BC, I personally find it funny that Troy Bolten all of a sudden acted more involved as soon as the AD job opened up. I would like to see an AD that is going to do that ALL the time. Also, as for you that say that if you leave this school district, you have no chance of being hired???.....that is wrong! I'm pretty sure Bolten left of was ran off (if I remember correctly). Just some food for thought. Personally think Stump would be great.....Just my opinion." "Sportsfanatic," this is not an accurate description of Troy Bolton. We have been involed with sports and Troy Bolton for 13 years in youth leagues and school sports and he has always been very involved with the kids whether he was working in BC at the time or not. He cares about their success on the field/court as well as in the classroom. We have 2 sons, an 18 year old and a 16 year old and they both think very highly of the man. You may not always agree with his methods, but you cannot say that he does not give his all to the kids.
  5. I heard the likely reason Briggs wasn't given an interview was because he had left athletics twice in his career. Now, I DO NOT KNOW if that is true....just what I heard, so don't shoot me! Personally, I like Briggs and think he would have done a fine job. I also think Bolton would do a fine job, but I doubt someone already on the staff will get it....we don't do things that way, for some reason.
  6. Congratulations to both teams on an outstanding season.
  7. So far the BC JV have worked as a team, played as a team and it has shown.....they have had a superb season! Good luck to both teams.....it should be a great game and hopefully, injury free.
  8. People call it a rebuilding year for BC because MOST of the seniors that are on this team played on JV last year because last year's Varsity team had SO many seniors on it........not enough room for too many juniors. It was Most of this year's seniors first year to play Varsity. Next year, the Varsity team will be loaded with Juniors. Not making excuses......I think we have had a good season. They have all worked very hard. Birdman.......Mills got a bad thigh bruise? last night........why he came out of the game.
  9. Only game BC JV has lost this year was to Lumberton, early in the season. They didn't seem to have their stuff together in that game....coaches pulled them together and they have been clicking ever since. I can't quote scores (without going back and looking), but several of their games have been shut outs.
  10. I, too was impressed with the bands performance and PROUD that they could get out there and do such a super job together. And the strutters........the new dance was excellent.....just excellent. The skirts were very impressive. They always do such a fantastic job, but the new routine was very good. There are allot of other kids out there busting their tails at practice every day OTHER than the ones in football uniforms. They, too, should be included in the acknowledgements. As far as the players, both sides played hard. BC couldn't seem to get anything going their way.......it wasn't our night. Kirbyville did their job. For the life of me, I will never understand the trash talk and why anyone thinks that uplifts an organization OR a community.
  11. BC-Kirbyville JV game was played in the rain...........LOTS of rain. BC won, 48-0.
  12. Anyone know anything about the BC vs K'ville JV game? :?:
  13. So what's the story on whether or not K-ville has a freshman team? Do they or not? :?:
  14. Great game on both sides tonight. Congratulations to both teams!
  15. A few weeks ago when BC's JV played in Lumberton the announcer cheered for the home team....would try and keep the home crowd stirred up....announce every "good" thing Lumberton did, but when BC had a good play, he would be silent...wouldn't say who did what or what the play even was. I don't recall an issue with calling kids' names wrong, but we all started noticing the one sided announcing. There are UIL rules about the announcers being neutral and that guy surely isn't. The Kelly announcer....he was just kind of silly. He didn't announce a one sided game when we played them. He just would say silly things...silly words and he never stopped talking. On the one sided announcing, in my opinion while it won't or shouldn't effect the outcome of a game, it does lend itself to ..........OK, I'm going to say it......sportsmanship. We try and teach the kids to respect the other team, we as fans are expected to respect the other teams fans, band, cheerleaders....etc. ........kind of hard when you have an adult with a microphone acting in an unprofessional manner.
  16. It would also be nice if those little yellow flags weren't against us so much.
  17. On the Lumberton JV announcer, when the BC JV went to Lumberton we had the same thoughts.......never have we heard an announcer cheering on the home team. Think there may be some UIL rule about that, but maybe it only pertains to Varsity games........
  18. BC Defense held off both Kelly and HJ's offensive line.....no question. BC has no "easy" games this year, but I don't think anyone, with maybe the exception of WOS, has ANY "easy" games in this district, this year. Every team out there better come with their best game, ready. :x
