Nobody expected Applachian State to beat Michigan.

If you missed this game then you wasted your Friday night. That stadium was rocking. Buna has brand spankin new playclocks and a very nice logo on the 50. There was a rumor that 4300 tickets were sold!! The Buna side was so crowded that I sat on the Hardin side during the second half. The Hardin fans should be proud of their team. They played hard the entire game. Their quarterback is great and I really don't think that their recievers were on their game. They dropped alot of passes that really could have made this a different game. The Buna o-line controlled the line of scrimmage and opened up holes that I think I could run through. For Buna to beat EC they have to play 4 full quarters. Props to Hardin for not giving up at halftime. Good luck to Hardin the rest of the year. Good luck to Buna against EC.

Does anyone know how many interceptions Blanton Craft and the rest of the Buna secondary has?

Buna wins big. At least by 28. They will not be upset again.

Everyone says that Buna has been playing a weak schedule. That may be true but let me point out that this schedule was made two seasons ago. The games are the same but the sights are opposite. The year that this schedule was made Buna was coming off an 0-9 season. They were also dropping down into 2A. Can you blame them for having a weak season. I don't think anybody knew where they sould stand in 2A. I mean after going 0-9 any of these pre-district games could seem reasonable. Now that they have had an 8-3 playoff year and now started 3-0 I guess we will see what their schedule looks like next year. Buna by 42.

Buna will be way too much for Tarkington to handle. Buna is better this year than they have been in a long time. They are too deep at running back and can wear a team out. As far as Tarkington running the option, I would hate to be the back catching the pitch because that Hussey kid is a beast and will light you up with at every chance. Oh yeah and hes a sophmore. Buna by a lot.

I'm from SETX but going to college in Alabama. Alabama has a 6A and it seems to work fine. The thing is Texas could do it so much easier. Look at the difference in the number of schools in these two states. If Alabama can make 6 divisions work I think Texas can too.

Im going to college in Alabama and I will be going to watch Julio Jones in Foley. This receiver is the number one prospect in the country.

man who is this?? and where are u playing?? anyway this school is giving me a free education to do something that i enjoy. I don't care if its a junior high. it seems like a pretty good deal because its saving me about six grand a year. im with minick on this. i don't even think im a good tennis player at all. but i enjoy the game and i enjoy competition. if you want to hit or something drop me an email. i love meeting new people that share my love for the game. just stop hating like this is the pro tour or sumthin.

yea this is madison from buna. i am going to play for Faulkner State Community College in Bay Minnete, Alabama this fall. It is a junior college. It ain't no D1 but they are paying for my education. and stop bashing buna. its just a bunch of kids that love tennis. none of them take lessons and all of them play other sports.

Don't count Salina out against Minnick or Deavers. I've played both the guys and Salina is my cousin and I hit with her on the weekends. Now shes hitting just as good as them As for Smith and Colley: those kids can play tennis. Give them some time to get it together. And I'd rather take those two rednecks than some rich country club kid.

Buna has put out a player that is going to play in college next semester. Buna has had people in regionals 2 years in a row. And Redienger has only been there for 2 years.

Best Aranda (Kirbyville)- he's just good theres no arguing with it. Redienger (Buna)- he's a football coach that learned more about tennis faster than anyone i've ever met. he took kids from the sticks and taught them to play tennis. and some of them are pretty decent. Jorge Lopez (Nederland)- he turns out good players year in- year out Worst Fuselier (Kelly)- cocky, overrated, kids can't backhands. nuff said.

Minick and Deaver are both great guys and great tennis players. (i've played them both in singles and doubles) Right now Deaver clearly has the edge but there is plenty of time for change before district. Don't underestimate Minick's determination and athleticism. I'm sorry but I can't see both of them making it to state, there is just too many good players at regionals. (ask Jordan Deaver) In doubles Word and Carnley are cleaning up, but don't count out Colley and Smith from Buna. They are finally playing together again and are extremely athletic. Kirbyville has Fuller and Cofty, a good team but a bit inconsistent. In girls Salina is just too dominant. The other girls in this area will all be glad when she graduates. In girls doubles is another team from Kirbyville, Whitmire and Landry. In mixed there is the team of Talmadge and Jackson. They just get better and better each week. Kirbyville and Westbrook both have some really good teams. Good luck to all our area players!!

Yea its gotta be EC or Buna. Both are returning alot of talent. Buna should still have a bitter taste about losing to anahuac last season and is coming off a great year. Deweyville is losing alot of seniors but coach bickham will have them ready. 1.Buna?EC 2.Buna/EC 3.Deweyville/Warren Good luck to all our area teams!! Period

Roger has a gaping hole in his resume. He hasn't beat Rafeal Nadeal in the French Open. But I still think he is more dominant. He makes it look so easy.

Who is more dominant?

Buna will take district. They're too good. They dropped a close scrimmage to K-ville but both teams still had a lot of kids in basketball. T-Hawk will have this team ready. Period.

HJ is usually good. Kibyville, Nederland, and Bridge City will always have their players. Watch out for those Buna boys. Their athletic and love to play. That can make them pretty dangerous. Period.

I'm not to sure about deaver. His older brother tried over and over to get out of regionals but never until they played doubles his senior year. People that have never been to a regional or state tournament doesn't know how tough it is. Matt will have to get past Waco Robinson, Groesbeck, Bellville, and Lagrange. All of them are powerhouses in tennis. To say that Matt could win state is to say that he is better that kody. I don't think that he is yet. But Matt is a great kid and is only a sophmore with great skill and even greater potential. Another prospect from our area is Salina Aranda from Kirbyville. She has advanced to State 2 of the last three years. Now she's a senior and this is her year. She is hitting better and harder than she ever has. Also watch out for Minnick from HJ. He's a great player that has went to regionals the previous three years. Doubles is pretty open, but there is always some sleepers in that. Good Luck to all our players in our area. Period.

Good luck to Newton in the playoffs. This was a big year for the buna football program. the seniors played great and stayed positive all year. i could not have been more proud of them. those kids are my friends and former teamates. the only thing that would have made this season better for me is if we had been 2A two years earlier so my classmates and i could have experienced it. these kids came from 0-9 to 7-3 and a playoff bid. their success has completely turned around the program. i cant remember when we have ever had so many fans in the bleachers for a game. barbay is a class act and so is his team. everyone knew that newton was too much for buna to handle, but i am glad everyone stayed so positive. if you dont believe that u have a chance to win the game than there is no reason to take the field. good luck to newton in the future and i hope they bring the title back to southeast texas.
