  1. For pitching, I would go with Sam Moore. Hands down. Lots of experience, and his program is awesome.

  4. 1. Nederland 2. PNG 3. LCM The traditional big 3. I like Coach Thomas at Ozen, but can they stay disciplined enough to make it to the playoff? Should be a good competetive district again this year. Don't know much about Dayton, but they may shake things up a little.
  5. Good Luck to Tim. Maybe we will see him on the big screen one day.
  6. Sounds like a loaded question to me. But, I am sure they had plenty of Houston area fans and parents there. Lamar coaches were at a couple of tournaments held at PN-G this summer.
  7. Womack has been doing a excellent job. Just can't make any mistakes to any of the Brenham hitters. the plan was probably to get Womack out of the game if he got in trouble. Just like in the PNG series, they struck quick, not allowing much time to warm someone up.
  8. Indians swinging the bat real well, playing solid defence. WP Mire 4IP 8K's 1H Harrington 1IP 1k 1 H HR McInnis, Mire (Grand Slam)
  9. PNG threw 6 pitchers. Harwood and Flores did not pitch any...
  10. Hats off to both teams. Good game with playoff atmosphere. Gutsy effort by both starting pitchers. Good luck to both teams in the playoffs.
  11. Womack had a great game against the Indians fielding and had the big HR. He gets my vote.
  12. Taylor McInnis WP Cody Mire HR, 2B 4 rbi's Brandon Powell 2b, 3b 4 rbis
  13. Powell 6IP 12 k's 2 Hits . L'ton had trouble with his curve ball all night. Indians had 0 errors. PNG scored 4 runs in the 1st inning on a couple of errors followed by timely hits.
  14. The Indian pitchers have been doing a good job. Fielding errors, baserunning mistakes and lack of run support is killing PNG. I believe Mires had 0 earned runs in 5 innings against LCM (4Unearned) .Harwood had 14k's against Vidor and loses 3-2. Also had 14k's at Ozen and barely won that game. Getting lhp Powell back on the mound might give the Indians a boost.
  15. Cody Mire held LCM to 2 hits in 5 innings. Unfortunately for the Indians errors continue to haunt them. McInnis had a solid performance in relief. Elert pitched 5 strong innings in relief for LCM, striking out 10 and allowing 1 single to Mire.
  16. Cody Mire held LCM to 2 hits in 5 innings. Unfortunately for the Indians errors continue to haunt them. McInnis had a solid performance in relief. Elert pitched 5 strong innings in relief for LCM, striking out 10 and allowing 1 single to Mire.
  17. PNG 12 Vidor 0 Indians take frustrations out on Pirates
  18. Since when does scouts get prospects names off of a message board. Probably a first ....
  19. I think both teams had 4 hits. Mire was 2/3, McInnis had a 2b and Powell a single. PNG is playing terrible defense. Pitchers are doing their jobs. Ehlert had a good night on the hill. Mire threw well, but no support in the field.
  20. Everyone beat up on the Indians while you can. I believe(and hope) things will start turning around this weekend in Lufkin. PNG hasnt been able to put a consistent lineup on the field because of multiple injuries, sicknesses and academic reasons. This weekend should prepare them for the district opener on Tuesday night
  21. TBall, since PNG has 2 wins, 1 by Harwood and 1 by Harrington, your theory is wrong. All PNG pitchers have done well. No hitting, no fielding and just flat out being lazy is costing us games. It will get better. Has to
  22. Indians give up 3 unearned runs with 4 errors. Carnahan 2/3, Harwood 1/3. Pitching looked good with McInis going 3, Flores 1 and Mires 2.
