HJXC wrapped up regular season with 2 runners qualifying for Regionals. Sophomores Grayson Sullivan and Sam Fling.

Sophomore Grayson Sullivan medaled with a 4th place finish for HJ in the 4a-1a Division. Sophmore Layla Leventry placed 12th in the 4a-1a girls Division for HJ.

On September 9th several SETX XC runners ran at the Regional preview. Some of the top 4A runners in the area had excellent times. Gaige Gordey of Lumberton placed 8th with a 17:05, Branson Healy of Vidor placed 11th at 17:13, Sam Fling of HJ placed 15th at 17:28, Grayson Sullivan of HJ placed 19th at 17:43, Ethan Jones of HF placed 22 at 17:47, Raul Ramones of Lumberton placed 26th at 17:52, Victor Hernandez of Bridge City placed 34th at 18:17.

HJ XC had a nice showing in La Porte Friday. Grayson Sullivan placed 4th with a 5k time of 17:29. Sam Fling medaled with a time of 18:09 For the ladies, Layla Leventry medaled with a an 8th place finish.

HJ XC got off to a nice start last weekend at the Barbers Hill XC Invitational. Grayson Sullivan placed 1st in small school (4A-1A), Sam Fling 3rd and Ben Harris 11th. Leyla Leventry placed 5th and Keely Spraggins 15th for the ladies.
