  1. I would like to comment on who did pitch, not who didn't. Jonathan Smith from Vidor pitched a masterpiece. He had 14 strike outs and gave up one walk.
  2. I believe the opposing team is a guest in your town and at your school. They should be treated as such. I also want to beat them horribly on the field, without mocking their coaches, players or fans. No coach should allow his players or fans disrespect opposing teams.
  3. Obie was the president of our league when my son was just starting. He umpired many of our games throughout the years. He would always make nice comments after the game. What a great man. We will miss him dearly. Vidor Dad
  4. I would like to see wood bats only at ALL levels of baseball. Tee ball thru the pros. I used to make our pitchers wear a helmet in coach pitch.
  5. The first pitcher for woodville Vs Vidor was fantastic. He was mowing the vidor players down. He gave up two hits in about four innings and had at least 10 k,s. Vidor was able to capitalize on some mistakes to get ahead of woodville. When they changed pitchers the flood gates opened and vidor scored 7 runs to ten run rule.
  6. I like Vidor's chances to make the playoff's this year. They came in 4th last year with a very young team. They only lost three starters. My prediction: 1. Ned. 2. Vidor 3. PNG 4. Ozen 5. Dayton 6. LCM 7. Lum. 8. Central^
  7. Concerning VJ Bunner, I have seen him play in about 100 games, he is one of the best all round players I have ever seen. Recently, he led the Babe Ruth Allstar team to the championship game in the world series. He was voted all tournament ( only player from Mid-County). He hit .428 for the tourn. Seven games played against outstanding pitching. He also had at least one H.R. I have not seen the other players mentioned, play, so I can't compare their talent to VJ's, but I will say if VJ played in a higher profiled program he would get the recognition he deserves. Don't forget he made 1st team All District his freshman year. What sets him apart from your average player is his leadership on and off the field. Great kid... I am not related in any way to VJ.
