West Brook for real?

West Brook started the season 1-7 with their only victory over PNG. Since then, they have a 3-1 record, defeating Nederland, Silsbee, and Bmt. Central. Their only loss was to The Village by 3 points, who is considered to be one of the top schools in the Greater Houston Area.

So, is WB legit, or will they wake up to reality soon?

I think they are for real and could finish 2nd in their district behind North Shore. What do you think?

Some talent; no coaching

The talent has always been there. Coaching is the Bruins biggest problem. They haven't been a successful program since Chris Coleman left for Jasper. Under his regime, WB was a top notch program. Coach Simon, I love him to death, but he's not getting the job done. Its time for a change on the hardwood.

Difference seems to be Coach Brown is taking a more active role. If you watch in the 2nd half, he moves down the bench and is constantly coaching the offense.

Against Central, WB had their two sophomores, Zeno & Green, playing a two man game with pick & rolls. Wasn't highly successful (lack of fundamentals) but it was nice to see versus the lone ranger driving the lane and throwing up a shot with hopes it goes in while everyone else watches.

But I would say the biggest difference in WB is they are playing some good defense.
