Just a note to warn Santa on pending moratorium on composite bats from Little League International in case he was planning on bringing your little one a bat. I know those elf's work hard on making them for our little ones.....wink wink....

12 yr olds and below is not affected this year, if I read it correctly.

It is still up in the air Bulldog read the last line of the article. It says LL international will give a clear statement prior to the start of the 2011 season

I will try to keep up with it. Thanks for the heads up, I would be a little perturbed if Santa brought a high $$$ bat that couldn't be used. ;D

Here is an update on this issue, it appears that Little League international has imposed a ban on ALL composite bats, and select league registration is heard climbing all over America....

I guess moving the pitching mound to 50 feet would be to far of a stretch for little league international to fathom.....no instead lets ban the bats.... Maybe we can all get plastic bats and wiffle balls

I wouldn't mind going old school and just go to a wood bat league. Then again, I haven't looked around to see whats available.

My son is playing select ball next year and got a new Louisville Slugger Catalyst Composite bat for Christmas. Has anyone heard if Nations Baseball or USSSA Baseball is also planning on banning composite bats?

The only reason I would have concern about Nations and USSSA is that NCAA and NFHS (National Federation High School Sports) are on board also
