BudTugley
WB 6 , Pearland 5 Sophomore Preston Warner went the distance striking out 10. WB went into the 7th inning leading 4 -2, then after 3 straight infield hits and a groundball single Pearland took a 5 - 4 lead. But with one in the bottom of the 7th, Derrian "Boom" James blasted a 2 run walk off HR! Reggie Wilson, Connor McDonald, and Will Henderson all had key hits for the Bruins. Warner pretty much shut down the high powered Pearland offense (there were several pro scouts in attendance to evaluate a couple of the Oiler seniors). "Boom" is also an All-District basketball player. The series deciding game will be played at 3:00pm Saturday at Clear Lake.

bmtball
Without a doubt, one of the more entertaining high school games this year. Pearland's catcher is the real deal. A switch hitter who can throw runners out from his knees. BigMac Ag was right, a number of pro scouts in attendance to watch a very talented Pearland team. But that make the Brooks win even sweeter. Warner was lights out on the mound for WB and Reggie Wilson had some very key hits. Good job Bruins. That was a heck of a ball game. Justin Harmon is an unsung hero because he beat out an infield roller to get on base before Boom hit the bomb. Harmon was the tying run and Boom was the winning run. Rubber game in Clear Lake Saturday. Good luck Bruins!!
