Has anyone ever heard a plate umpire aks a field umpire what the count was and get the reply"I dont keep the count".

nope, thats a first for me.  thats brutal.  Wonder if they are kin to this guy that was calling my sons little league game the other day?  During a pitching change, he was sitting indian style out in the grass behind 2nd base.  I had my mom taking pictures of him, I couldn't believe it.
