A very good idea. Took a CPR class a couple of weeks back, and we were shown how to use one. Very easy, you can't mess up with it. Plus, it is very effective.

Being an EMT I say this is a no brainer. The units are very inexpensive and because they are mostly "Automatic" units, Shelman is right you can't screw it up.

I read a statistic recently that with an AED being used within the first 3 minutes of a heart attack, survival rates increase between 30 and 70 percent. For every minute you do not receive advanced care, you are 10% more likely not to survive.

I'll donate one and train the staff to use it, if a school can't afford it.
