Could careless about the rankings right now. Just want the kids to improve each week.

Everyone enjoys Rankings.  Rankings are for the fans and ususally offer good fun conversation.  It's not my job to keep the team improving and focused.  I'll leave that for the coaches.  And I have every bit of confidence in THEIR abilities.  I will continue being a DIEHARD PNG FAN, and enjoy seeing my team gaining respect across the great state of Texas, which is what the rankings indicate to me.

The funny thing to me about this post is that the 3 teams that lost... lost to teams that were not ranked around them..... and Calallen took one on the chin.... ranked #10 in the state and loose by 21 and only put 1 in the end zone... someone wasn't pumping on all cylinders...

Callalen's loss to Flour Bluff wass no fluke. Flour Bluff should have had more respect from the pollsters before this win. They are now 7-1 with the only loss being the season opener to a good 5A Houston Lamar team. They have blown just about everyone else out.

Abilene Cooper was a 5A power for years that just dropped to 4A.

Kerville Tivy has been a 4A playoff regular for years.

I agree.  Abilene Cooper and Flour Bluff are no slouches and have good history.  I also noticed that #12 Brenham beat Conroe Caney Creek 34-0.  This is the same CCC team that Livingston beat 63-20 last month.
