Guest JustAPlayersMom Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Tonight I heard that La Ray Alfred might be out all season due to his injury. Rumor has it his leg and foot are broken and there are pins & screws holding them together while they heal. This came from a NHS student so I am not sure if it is true. Has anyone else heard anything to this nature?
ChampionEagles Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 He plays for Newton. I will be headed to the booster club meeting at 9am and will ask Coach Barbay.

ChampionEagles Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 Coach Barbay said La Ray has a torn ligament in his ankle and does have some screws and stuff in that ankle. He is in a cast. Rehab is telling him worst case would be 8 weeks to heal. Coach Barbay said he had never seen this particular type of injury so he was unsure of really how long Alfred would be out.

Wow, I hate to hear that. I hope he will heal in 8 weeks. That would be awesome. Thanks so much for getting us an update!
Guest Jmeek Posted September 25, 2009 Report Posted September 25, 2009 I Also talked to Barbay after the meeting this morning he said that Alfred could be out 6 to 8 weeks and that he would just have to see how long it took him to heal, But he also said not to worry that we had plenty of depth at HB.
