How much longer?

How many more days do we have to wait for baseball to start????  I am way past ready, lol! And I also have a question about high school baseball. If a kid plays football, but does not play basketball, can they begin any sort of baseball (ex. batting cages at school, throwing,etc) during athletics?  Just wondering if UIL allows a coach to work with any of the baseball players while waiting for basketball to end.

If your son is playing football then more than likely he will be in football off season when football ends.  I know at my sons school they have football in 5th period while the baseball class which consist of kids who don't play football are usually in the cages or on the field.

Thanks and I would think it works the same at my son's school.  Just wondering how that worked.................guess he'll have to go to the batting cages on his own then.

In Vidor, the players that play Football "just a few" are released to Green and he takes care of their conditioning and they are now in the Baseball class.

At GCM you are required to stay in football until the semester change. At that time, if you are on a VARSITY roster, you will be allowed to move into that sport during their "In Season". Football is still king in Texas, the rest will always be secondary.

it helps that the fb coach is also the ad. i hear one of the pirates cornerbacks is a pretty good bb player. ;D
