Crush 12U C/W/H came through the losers bracket and played 4 games back to back to win the LAST Chance Quailfier in Moss Bluff this weekend. Ashston Ratcliff and Kellyne Cormier handled the pitching duties and ALL the girls contributed at the plate as Crush beat Crush Shugart, GT Shockers, LA Express and finally the Mamou Allstars to win the championship on a VERY, VERY HOTTTTTT day. Congrats to all the young ladies for NEVER giving up despite unbearable weather conditions.  ;D

Congrats Collins girls on getting back and exacting some revenge on Mamou. That girl was bringin' it! The gun had her at 57 consitantly, which is amazing for a 12U. We had hoped to have an all Crush final, but it just didn't pan out.  ;D

Good tournament as far as competition, but it was hot, fields were horrible, umps were typical for SW LA, and restricting to one team cooler and having no water in the dugouts was almost criminal. That ain't the way they get treated when they come to TEXAS baby!

We had several KEY girls out this weekend also. Cat Burns (SS) , Morgan Babs (CF) BROKE ARM , Kayla Henson (3b,P) were all not there and we had girls playing all over the place. We do try to practice these girls all over jsut for times like these. P-Nut Worthy  caught all day Sun and did a GREAT job after a butt chewing on Sat. She responded and gave 110% on Sun. Jade Piper, Kelsey Fults, Josie West and several others hit some rockets on Sunday. The twins MeKellar made some great defensive play as well as taking their friendly sisterly rivalry to another level. Kallye Harris played 2nd and made some ESPN catches as well as putting down some GREAT bunts. After a slow start the girls really pulled togther and hepled each other through the good and bad times for a GREAT weekend. Shockers ,Texas Thunder,GCB,and Little Crush (SHUG) all had their moments also. Our area was well represented and there are some great upincoming girl players in the area.
