Guest baseball25 Posted June 27, 2009 Report Posted June 27, 2009 Josh Koscheck vs. Frank Trigg* Hermes Franca vs. Tyson Griffin* Efrain Escudero vs. Cole Miller Liddell vs Franklin in the WORKS Matt Hughes vs. Mike Swick in the works also Velesquez vs Carwin in the works This would be a great card Can't wait to go to this....
Joharr73 Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 Carwin & Velesquez will be at UFC 104 for the #1 contender spot to face winner of Lesnar/Mir. Mike Swick vs Martin Kampmann is signed for UFC 103, winner will probably get title shot! I'd love to see Liddell vs Franklin, but I don't think it will happen. I hope I'm wrong though! ;D
Guest baseball25 Posted July 2, 2009 Report Posted July 2, 2009 If mir beats lesnar again which I don't think will happen but if it happens and Coutore beats Nog then Randy will get the next title shot and carwin and velesquez will have to wait..
Joharr73 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Not real sure if Couture wants Mir, he still really wants Fedor!
Guest baseball25 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Dude are you dumb lol couture would love another title shot, nobody who it is, if he wanted FEDOR that BAD he would have never resigned with the UFC again and he would have sat out and got all that dispute with the UFC settle in court but he didn't, Randy has to be champion again before he ever gets a shot at FEDOR... http://sports.espn.go.com/espn/blog/index?entryID=4302279&name=mma Considering the timing, it's very possible UFC could opt to have the winner of Aug. 29's Randy Couture-Antonio Nogueira bout challenge the Mir-Lesnar winner later in the year. Couture-Lesnar II in particular would probably be a nice fourth-quarter revenue boost.
Joharr73 Posted July 5, 2009 Report Posted July 5, 2009 Lol! If I'm not wrong, this is Randy's last fight on his contract. If Dana White can't get Fedor in the UFC, then I think Randy goes to Fedor and takes his belt!!! Sure he wants to be the champ again, but I'd bet he'd like to be the one that beats Fedor for his belt. With that said, Fedor has to get by Josh Barnett, not going to be an easy task. If Barnett wins, if he wins, Randy stays in the UFC for one or two more fights. Later!
Guest baseball25 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 I could careless to see randy vs fedor, Fedor will dominate him, its not a interesting fight anymore unless randy can get passed Nog and Lesnar, but why would I listen to a west Hardin fan I mean come on..

At least I openly advertise my team! ;D You support who? In other news, MMA Junkie reports that Liddell vs Franklin won't happen. This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up
Guest baseball25 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Yeah I read that last night going to suck because Franklin is the headliner for the main even and I wish he was fighting a big name star I mean to make it a good pview they need a big name and I dunno who it will be since alot of guys are booked maybe a rematch with silva who knows..
Joharr73 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 Looking at the LHW division, the only possible names that I can come up with are Ryan Bader (10-0) or Luiz Cane (11-1-1), both guys last fight was in April. Every other big name is already booked for something & I really can't see them trying to rematch with Silva. Or, the UFC could try to recruit someone from the outside with a big name, maybe Vitor Belfort.
Guest baseball25 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 I think winner out of coleman vs bonnar could fight franklin too if the winner doesnt get hurt and comes out healthy.......that would be better than cane and belfort is fighting at 185 and fights for affliction.....
Joharr73 Posted July 6, 2009 Report Posted July 6, 2009 True! Heck, they could scrap Franklin and fill it with a different weight class all together. Franklin still has to sign another contract. I'm still going regardless, just hope it's a good one.
