LHSALLZONE Posted April 25, 2009 Report Share Posted April 25, 2009 leslie beard of lumberton, a sophmore, went to the woodlands with the intent of jumpimg a pr in the pole vault. she did not think much about winning the vault competition. when all was said &done she had done both. leslie jumped 11'6 to set a new pr & also jumped away from the other vaulters. by the time leslie jumped for the first time at 10 ft,about 70% of the 22 jumpers where already eliminated. only three vaulters made it past 10 ft & only leslie cleared the next height at 10'6. her next attempt was 11'6 wich she cleared easily. the next bar height was 11'9 wich with the wind & rain picking up ,leslie did not make the quality jumps she needed. congrats to ms beard & the raider coaches ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ; Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
