1994, San Antonio Roosevelt and Converse Judson both won a state championship from the same district.

It also happened in 1997 with La Marque and Texas City.

And in 2003, in East Texas, with both Garrison and San Augustine.

Meanwhile, this year alone, there are three districts well represented in the state championship round.

Class 5-A, Wylie and Allen

Class 4-A, Longview and Sulphur Springs

Class 3-A, Prosper (won it), and Celina

Class 1-A, Canadian (won it) and Stratford

Last year in 1a, Munday, Windthorst, and Seymour were all in the same district. Seymour won the big division while Munday won the small division. Also, Munday had to beat district rival Windthorst in the regional finals, so all three district mates went as far as possible.
