j_dog Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Expect a tough series. Bellville had a young team last year, so they should be much tougher this year. Jasper just barely took them out last year, and even HJ was not able to do that. The "easy" games are over.
East TX Posted May 3, 2008 Report Posted May 3, 2008 Bellville has three premium players-- Leif Luetge a great Senior Catcher; Kyle Mueller SO Pitcher; & Joe Tallerine Offensive MVP last season. They lost to Jasper 4-3, 4-11, 0-3 last year and the pitching is down a bit this season. Bellville is 8-2 & 16-3. They are in slump right now having lost their last two District games to Caldwell and Navasota. Jasper should have an easy time with them except it will maybe be a tossup or closer game when they go against Kyle Mueller.

Jasper is the underdog again this year, but will strive to overcome.
