Nederland should be more competitive than they have been of late.  Definately not as good as the teams of the nineties.

Coach Green has his players sailing in the right direction again.  Looked like the team we have been missing for a week or so.  Way to go Pirates and keep up the hard work.

Nederland:  Broussard 2 for 3(2B); Pitts 1 for 3; McFarland 1 for 3.

Vidor quite simply outhit Nederland 10 to 4 and that was the difference in the game.  Nederland put the ball in play but right to Vidor's defensive players. Nederland had 2 errors that led to one unearned run. Vidor had 1 error.  Nederland has to play district out and hope for some help now.

Don't look like its gonna matter too much now....may think of getting some of these younger guys some time at the plate...if nothing else get some experience for next year...Alot of talent here in Nederland and maybe its time to try something new..whats going on now is not working...lets go Dogs

Younger guys are taking most of the swings.  There are only 4 seniors playing regularly.  You don't give up until it's mathematically impossible to get to the playoffs.  Last year the Dogs had a similar record and ended up in a playin game.  Lost but they at least had the chance.

To be real honest Dad55, Nederland has been down for the past couple of years.  I'm as big a Bulldog fan as there is, but the cupboard hasn't been stocked like in the past.  We don't hit, and the pitching isn't as dominant.... these stretches happen at times.  We'll be back, just a little down the last couple of years.
