just a word about the girls Big Sandy/Evadale game played 2/1/08 in Evadale.

My compliments to the three officials who kept control of the game and called 95% of all the fouls. I say 95% because there are going to be some missed,its just being human.

Even though there were 77 free throws shot, most of them were two shot fouls. Even though the game was an hour and twenty minutes long no one seemed to mind.

This was as intense a game as you will find. Big Sandy undefeated in district 24A and Evadale in third place in the district. There were 5 lead changes and 6 ties. It was a one point game with 2:30 to go, it just didnt get any better if you like basketball.

The most important thing is the officials didnt determine the outcome, the players did and thats the way it should be.

These two teams really get after each other and both coaches are very intense coaches and great rivals, but good friends.

The fans were loud on both sides but never interfered with the game.

Again a salute to both schools,coaches, fans,and yes the officials, it was a great game to watch
