BOLD is what killed us every penalty was costly but other than those two stats West Brook really dominated the stats

South Houston didn't bring many fans but they brought the loud ones. It was great to hear noise coming from both sides of the field. Congrats to SoHo for making it to the playoffs. We used to live there and my oldest son went there for his freshman year before we moved to Beaumont. There's a nice feeling of community at that school.

WB did have a tough 3 quarters, but they made adjustments and i have to give credit to their QB--he juked us all game and made it tough for any secondary.  The defense played well no matter what you hear. If you know football, you would see how hard it was to contain their QB.  If you put pressure on him--he would do the Tony Romo stuff and break loose and find an open receiver.  He wore our defensive line down but they sucked it up and never quit.  The DE's had trouble keeping him inside.

We needed to hold the ball better and let the defense get more time to breath.

Wait a minute--we won, why should I be making excuses---ATTA BOY BRUINS

well the Big Gander sat in the rain and watched the Westbrook Bruins come from behind and win. WB has an impresive and athletic looking team, but could someone teach them to hold onto the ball!!!! 6 fumbles, at least 3 lost kept SoHo in the game. SoHo had at least 5 Louisiana Stars on their team, according to former SoHo AD/Head Coach, who coached the Big Gander in HS. And man were those kids good. Athleticicsm will lose if you can't stop the fumbles. Congrats Bruins and good luck next week!

Congrats WB.  It seemed at times the Bruins were trying to shoot themselves in the foot but they were clearly the better team.  It was the most athletic qb the Bruins faced all year.

WBfan09, I have to disagree with you on the play of the D.  Offense fumbled 6 times.  Defense gave up just 1 td on the opening drive of the second half then shut them down.  They were on the field a long time.

I will spot any team 1 td on the opening drive and shut them out the rest of the way and we will win almost every time.

Too many mistakes to win in the playoffs.

Fans, no, not fans.  Fans comes from the word fanatics.  What do you call people who just sit in their seat and occupy space?

I think this game with S. Houston is exactly what West Brook's coaching staff needed. The coaching staff was totally out coached today. I seen this last year when WB played Pasadena and Cy-Falls. It's to me WB coaching game plans are not aggressive enough and way too slow to make adjustments. S Houston did what every team is suppose to do take advantage of what ever weakness they can. Why can't we do same? I feel West Brook has some very talented kids who played there hearts out today.........KEEP FIGHTING WEST BROOK.........    >:(

Does that explain why this staff has a compiled record exceeding 30+ wins and about 7 losses of which 2 losses are 3 deep playoff games, 3 to a good Westfield team, 1 mistake to cv and another to Humble.  They had almost 500 yards total offense today against 266 to SOHO and this was being outcoached. The game today was a blow-out if WB did not loose several fumbles and have several good gains called back because of penalties.

I thought with 1:50 on the clock it was poor coaching on SOHO to take a penalty against Brook to give them 3rd and 20 instead of 4th and 10 and allow Brook to run about 30 more seconds of the clock.  They then burned their last time out on 4th down which only gave them about 1 minute to salvage their season.

I do not know how this game --a Victory can have so many flaws.  WB outscored its opponent, Beat them in almost all stats, Shut down SOHO after a momentum change, spread SOHO with multiple weapons vs SOHO having only 1 weapon, and yet there are more Would have, could have and should have comments from its own fans.

I have heard bad secondary comments, bad defense, slow offense, out coached, etc.  I hear and read this, but what I dont hear is the fricked fans from the stands, I dont hear near the noise per person that i heard from the dozen die hard SOHO fans---

I am a die hard WB fan and I win with them, and if necessary  I will gosh darned loose with them. I will also be glad to help them by getting involved with their boosters ...etc.  So i guess it is difficult for me to find fault with a play-off Victory.  I fear for these coaches and kids should a game be lost if this is how we savor  a win.
