Kountze might be a bit of a surprise in district. They played a great game against Buna and tonight with the win over Hardin, are looking sharp.

No Kountze did not look sharp. That is probably the worst Hardin has played all year after coming off one of their better games in Buna. Dropped fly balls, too many walks, no hitting, and no intensity! Hardin is no where near the team they were last year. I am very suprised.

Kountze played Buna to a better game that Hardin did. Kounzte took a 2-1 lead into the bottom of the 7th against Buna, before allowing a run to tie it up and then the go ahead run, which scored on a horrible call. And tonight pulled off the victory against Hardin. So who has the leg up so far?

Hats off to kountze and hardin for playing good against Buna. Both teams played well, But Buna wasn't fantastic on defense and did not hit well at all to there capability. About 6 or 7 base hits in 2 games...thats definitely not Buna's best showing of the sticks.

Buna played the worst game possible and Kountze played the best possible but Buna still got the win...........I dont look for the rematch to be as close

I will agree with soking, Hardin looked terrible.  Hats off to Kountze, who looks young as a team, and not afraid at the plate, like the Hardin players did.  Hardin doesn't look like they even want to be out there.

Here's my question to Hardin: Do these boys have any heart?

I think these kids can play, they just aren't...

    • What the writer stated wrt crossover votes in the primary/runoff: "Covey and his supporters Paxton and Lt. Gov. Dan Patrick said Phelan only won because Democrats crossed over to vote in the Republican Primary for him. Paxton said Covey’s campaign identified “at least” 1,442 Democrats who voted early in Jefferson County in the primary runoff. Texas does not have party registration, but a voter’s primary voting history is public. The Covey campaign has not released its methodology behind its claim, but  This is the hidden content, please Sign In or Sign Up  by The Texan news website found that 9% of Republican voters in the March District 21 primary had voted in one of the previous four Democratic primaries. However, only 5% of that group had voted in all four previous Democratic primaries. What Phelan’s opponents did not mention is historically Democratic Jefferson County is undergoing a political transition towards the Republican party — the county judge switched his affiliation to the GOP in 2017 — so many residents have a mixed primary voting history. And Phelan’s allies in the House dismissed the idea that liberals swung the election. "I knocked on doors, hundreds and hundreds of doors, made calls for Dade,” Republican Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, said on Mark Davis’ radio program Wednesday. “I did not speak to a single Democrat down here in HD21. Not a single one." "
