Texas State upsets #1 Rice

My son just called me from San Marcos and said Texas State just beat Rice 3-2.

I just got back from the Tx State-Rice game. It was a good game all the way through. Tied 2-2 in the bottom of the 9th Tx State put together a 2 out rally to score the game winning run. I am not saying for sure that Rice played their aces but it is impressive for Tx State to get that big of a win. Go Bobcats!!!

I posted on another thread that this game scared me.  One because the Owls struggled in the opener, and their offense has been anemic since the middle of the UGA game at the CWS last year, secondly b/c SWT (no offense) had already beaten a good OU team last weekend.  Sorry to say I was right.  Congrat to the Bobcats.  May this fuel your confidence building run to the SLC Championship or an at-large bid to the NCAA Tournament.
