Newton Eagles Working Hard

I had posted this prior to the server problems, but will do it again as I thought these kids had a good attitude. I talked to a couple of the varsity players yesterday and they said they had been working extra hard so they could take the next step. Sights are set on the state championship and they want to get that badly. I thought they had a great attitude and their work ethic looks to be in good shape as do they. Purple Pride Never Dies!!

I hope they have as much fun on the field as we do in the stands watching them. Great bunch of kids on a mission!

I've been a Newton fan a long, long time and know that nothing is a given. These guys have a good chance, but have yet to play the first game. I've seen rankings disappear once the season started as well as teams get better once they start playing. Hard work does not guarantee winning, but it helps. I always say there is a lot of hard work involved, but also a little luck to win a state title. I've been reading about Tatum and Andy Evans seems to once again have those guys primed.
