These last few weeks have been extremely stressful for myself and our staff as we have been trying to change software and servers to fix a few bugs and give everyone a better overall experience. We started this process about 2 weeks ago, and due to factors outside of our control, we are still working on these issues today.
Many of you noticed, heard or saw that we were on a new server and a new software beginning yesterday (8/28/13). However, things were not running smoothly. Many could not get on the site at all. After countless hours on the phone with support from both our server provider and the software manufacture, I've come to the conclusion that the new server we bought and the server company that hosts it, is not a good solution for us. They were unable to help me correct the errors that many of us were getting and that's not acceptable. So all that to say this, we are back on our old server and are running our new software. At the end of the day, this may be the permanent solution for us as our old or existing server certainly has the specs to keep up the amount of traffic we have here on SETXsports.com and I think the new IP software is going to fix the corruption problems we've been having over the past few months...
Things are about to get back to normal here pretty quickly. We lost some data from yesterday, but most of you could not log on and post anyways, so it is not that much. You'll notice the design of the site changing a little bit throughout the course of the day, as I customize it for us.
If You're Having Problems Accessing or Logging into SETXsports
Because of all the switching we've been doing, it's made it a little challenging for some to reach the site. If you have issues logging on or you still get some sort of error page, there are a few things you can do to correct the problem:
1. Clear out your cookies and cache on your browser
2. Try a different browser
3. Restart your computer
4. Get in touch with me or a SETXsports Staff Member
Everyone will have to log in to the site again. Many of you always stay logged in and you may have forgotten your password, There is a function to recover the password or I would be more than happy to assist you personally. If you are having issues logging in with your username and password, please be aware that when logging in you must use the username you signed up on setxsports with in order for you to succesfully get in. You may have changed it numerous times, but this system requires you to use the :Original" username you began with, regardless of how long you've used another handle.
