Bracket challenge

Ugly. Ā That second half is the kind of offense that plagued Texas the last several years. Ā Theyā€™d been dynamic all tournament, and really most of the season. Ā It seemed like carr going out really hurt them, and even when he came back they couldnā€™t regain the momentum.Ā
Ā

an aside: with a tie game and 1:00 left, Cunningham is blocking out and a guy jumps over his back and flips. Ā They call it on Miami and then change it. Ā Instead of two free throws for Texas and a lead with a minute left, Miami hits both and goes up by two. Ā After an empty trip by Texas Miami scores and its game over. Ā But how is that not over the back? Ā How can you even block out if the guy behind you can just jump up and fall over and get a foul called? Ā Even the Miami player knew heā€™d fouled him. Ā He thought heā€™d fouled out and was holding his head in his hands on the floor.

That was as textbook of a box out as Iā€™ve ever seen. Completely dumbfounded by that call.Ā

@TxHoopsĀ I really thought Creighton would be my predicted darkhorse team to get to the final four if one got there, not Miami (or Marquette). This tournament is pure chaos.Ā

šŸ˜‚ the weirdest tournament ever.Ā

FAU had some pretty impressive wins IMO

Glad that's over for a weekĀ

An advantage of a Final 4 without bluebloods is that tickets are extremely cheap. I was able to get club seats for Saturday's semifinals for less than $200, which is fantastic considering one ticket gets you into both games. I don't have a dog in the fight but I figured this would be too neat of an experience and too cheap to pass up, especially since its less than a 2 hour drive from my house.Ā

I was so thankful I didnā€™t buy tickets before Sundayā€™s games. Ā I canā€™t imagine how far they dropped when Texas lost.Ā

Hogs throwing some heavy weight money around in the portal.Ā

Coach Muss and company don't play around when it comes to the portal. I expect them to reload again this off-season.Ā

Ā

I'm wondering if Coach Cal gonna try to raid the portal for some 3pt shooters this off-season. Honestly both UK and Arkansas need a few of those not just one or two.Ā

Caleb Love will have a lot of cash thrown his way from all the major programs this offseason.

They palm the ball on every play. They couldnā€™t make the moves they do if they had to DRIBBLE.

Palming the ball (double dribble) and traveling (changed pivot foot and picked up pivot foot) on same play with no call. He couldnā€™t make that play by the rules.Ā

    • How do you know that Harrison is not a big opportunity? I don't really know him, but maybe just maybe he is what Liberty needs. I was just wondering what you know about Harrison that doesn't make him a big opportunity.Ā

    • Looking back at the exact wording, it seems like you are correct and it was the concrete barriers that were the ultimate problem. I mentioned it in my last comment, even if it was just the barriers, did Texas take his property? I think a case like US v. Causby might go a long way to proving his case. Causby had an egg farm and during World War II, the US government started flying four engine heavy bombers for the war effort, low over his farm at full power. The extremely loud noise killed a bunch of his chickens and caused many of the rest of them to quit laying eggs. Even though he legally still on the property, he sued, saying that the federal government had effectively ā€œtakenā€ the use of his property from him. The US Supreme Court sided with him, saying that for the purposes of the Fifth Amendment, the federal government had indeed taken away the use of his property. It wasnā€™t intentional but that didnā€™t matter. It seems like this case would fall somewhere along those lines.
    • That might have added to it but it said that they intentionally raised the roadway to help it act as a dam. Even if it was the dividers and no intent, did the state ā€œtakeā€ his property without compensation? I think that it is interesting that a local landowner fought his case all the way to the US Supreme Court and won in a unanimous decision. So while he has not won his case yet, he won the right to have his day in court and possibly heard by a jury. Ā Ā  Ā
