Seems like Crosby has become somewhat of a destination school for the free agents in NE Harris County. It's been requested that I not discuss our transfers in detail on this site anymore which I will oblige. All I'll say now is that West Texas Intermediate ain't the only thing getting exported our of the Permian Basin

This is another prime example of you running your mouth via keyboard. There is no doubt you have made a complete spectacle of yourself here in this forum with all your obsessions, rants, braggadocio, and false "information" you spew Mr. 400 pound bench pressing Know-It-All, but now even the powers that be at Crosby wants the village idiot to just shut up. Crosby ISD has to be cringing every time you type. What an embarrassment you must be to them.

Lol, it's actually just the opposite. Information about player transfers has been taken off this site(I assume similar sites as well) and tried to be used punitively against transferring players during eligibility hearings. You're way too naive on the subject of THSF to understand any of that though.

I don't claim to "know it all", I just happen to know exponentially more than you. However, numerous coaches from the SETXSports coverage area have DM'd me over the years to ask that I post stuff, ask that I remove stuff, tell me they love what I'm posting but can't like it, send me statistical corrections or just ask me a general high school football question. I was once even asked by a coach to write a letter of support to the TEA, which I obliged. I've had multiple parents DM me for recruiting advice and have been sent film to break down. I've even been asked if I would be interested in doing some freelance writing on THSF.

Everything I've ever written about Crosby ISD hasn't been positive. I think the "powers that be" at Crosby understand that if I'm posting it then that's probably the majority of the sentiment. I've had at least one son in Crosby's football program since 2013 and can't even count the number of times their coaches have referred to me as "14.2", as do may fans who know me. The only things they've ever told me usually involve expletives of affirmation. For instance, they love reading the stuff I say to you.

I'm a real THSF guy SS, you're just a guy who watches THSF football. Never forget that.

GCM and Sterling have both had horrible coaching for a while. Lee had horrible coaching for more than a decade but now has one of the better head coaches in the district.

Prior to Finn showing up, Lee was 4-45 the previous five years and they have now gone 23-17 the last four years.

They don't have the athletes to play with the big boys, but they get the most of what they do have.

Maybe I am wrong about Sterling. It's just that they have done nothing over the last half decade to make me believe they should be getting top ten in the area votes. They have better pound for pound athletes than Lee for sure and GCM has better than both of them.   Guess we will see.

I can tell you from years past GCM has lost more then their fair share of kids to transfers and horrible coaching. They Couldn't keep a WR playing the position. But now that Coach is at Sterling so i think the trend will continue over there.

FYI, I trust what 14.2 posts on this site. I know how knowledgeable he is and he calls it straight. He definitely supports those Cougars but he's not wearing the red colored glasses like some of you think.

Can you explain why he continues to rant about long gone Westerberg even now in August of 2022?

Can you explain why he has attacked Coach Absek ever since the hire was announced?

Can you explain why the majority of his posts take pot shots at BH?

Can you explain why "every thread turns into a Crosby pissing contest"?   (Sound familiar Mr. Aggie?)

Finally, how many other posters brag here about "bench pressing 400 pounds" like your best friend does?

Just Pathetic.

Sometimes you hope for some real football discussion here but this forum has just gone off the rails. It needs to be renamed Smack Attack. Maybe thats what the owners of Setxsports want, and could consider the name change to accommodate the Crosby posters.

Crosby Keyboard commandos, (presumably) grown men acting like trash talking 12 year olds, bragging about bench pressing 400 pounds and suffering from diarrhea of the mouth. What a spectacle.

(BTW the name calling and personal insults do nothing to me. Absolutely nothing. Keep trying though. It just means you you lost)

That’s the issue though. You don’t know anything about football so you NEVER post about it. You spend more time on this site scrutinizing my post than telling us anything useful about BH’s football program. I post all types of information about Crosby football, the PA guys are in this thread posting about their squad, there are a couple of Baytown guys who have provided some analysis but nothing from you all offseason about BH. I think that’s because either you don’t know(which I do know for sure) or people just don’t talk to you?

Crosby fans talk, everybody from Aledo to Texarkana and from Port Arthur to Port Lavaca know that. It is what it is but for whatever reason you in particular seem to have real complex with it. I “attacked Abseck”, I went on a “rant” about TW? Come on dude, for someone who has such a great life you sure do complain about a bunch of myopic issues. I think the only thing comparable to a 12 year old is all the whining you do.

I think this article highlights some good points about Crosby this year. I think our performance yesterday, limited as it may have been, reinforced some expectations for the season. We missed some things that were there on the offensive side of the ball but that’s somewhat expected early in the season, the execution was still crisp compared to where it was at this point last year.

Even with our execution not being as clean we still pretty much dogged out Angleton in a last year’s scrimmage because of guys like Casey, Coop and Strahan doing work at the line of scrimmage. A huge question mark was how we would look in the trenches now that all of those guys are gone and I think Crosby has a sufficient answer. Crosby’s o-line coach is legit. If we’re not going to get pushed around by Lamar at the LOS then you’re talking about only a handful of teams that have the capability in 5A-D1 to do so. If we can get all the way healthy and stay healthy we may be on to something this year.

Lamar isn’t the juggernaut your pinning them to be, so if Crosby had trouble in the trenches with Lamar there are many 5A Div 1 teams that will do the same. BH beat Lamar soundly the last time they played them in Lamar. Lamar does well in the HISD district, but they weren’t much of a match when we played the. Of course that was then maybe their much improved?

Getting our butts kicked😀 I’ll give the run down once I get home.

The way ive allways looked at it is id rather get my arse kicked, and learn something rather than blow out a weak opponent ,and learn nothing. its Just a scrimmage, nothing to loose sleep over, especially when the opponent is in a different tier.

Ok so surprisingly we didn't kick the crap out of Shadow Creek, but the good news is we will not see a Shadow Creek like football team which returned 13 starters from last year's 6A 9-3 team.

The scrimmage was broken in two parts. The 1st part was a timed 5 Minute rotation that went 6 rounds with 1st teams and 2nd teams getting 3 rounds a piece.  The 2nd part was a 10 Minute live quarter with a running clock. Both parts were one hand touch on the QB, no QB runs and no punt returns...

1st Part

SC 1st Team 3 TD's

BH 1st Team 0 TD's

SC 2nd Team 1

BH 2nd team 0

Final

SC 4

BH 0

Live quarter

SC got the ball once gained 2, 1st downs with no score

BH got the ball twice. 1st possession 3 and out 2nd possession 2 1st downs then time expired.

Overall, it was a scrimmage and i saw some bright spots and then things to work on.  We saw 3 QB's tonight and I thought that #3 was the more poised QB with the best arm and touch on the ball while #12 was less poised, but a strong runner. Both QB's looked like they had some wheels. The two main RB's #21 and #22 both scat backs were quick and ran well. The trenches didn't look too bad to me either because I was thinking the bigger 6A squad may own us there, but we held our own.  Defense has its moments too and did well except when the athletes got the ball in space :) I could type a book, but that's it in a nutshell I think this scrimmage will get us prepared for good Magnolia West team that went 10-2 last year losing by  8 to Denton Ryan in the playoffs

When did y’all play them last? Lamar played for the 6A-D1 title in 2012 and lost to and Kyler Murray led Allen squad. They’ve only lost one district game in the 10 years since then and none of their non-district losses have been to BH in that time period.

Lamar produces the highest level dbs in the Houston area as is evident from the recent names like Holton Hill, Anthony Cook and Deshawn Jamison to name a few. Not to mention NFL All-Pro receivers like Josh Gordon. Lamar is top 5-7 in terms of personnel in the Houston area EVERY year regardless of record.

*PS - I know @BHFAN is getting Lamar confused with Lamar Consol. but he’s not @Separation Scientist so he gets a pass. I don’t think he is anywhere as naive as @Separation Scientist is about football
