  1. Kinda like crosby is not in the same hemisphere as the true elite title WINNERS in 5A??
  2. Why are still posting??? Your mancard was revoked....Oh wait this is probably your significant other posting since your b-a-double l's are in her purse.
  3. Unnecessary contact.... jumping over the pile head first into an oncoming defense?!? Or maybe he was jumping rear end first....hmmm. Can't say anymore or I'll get in trouble...keeping it PG.
  4. Leave your feet and deal with the consequences. It's FOOTBALL....NOT always a pretty game. I know the high and mighty Crosby Cougars are a finesse team that does not like to get down-n-dirty but us Vidorians...well we are not scared to play in the mud or have our band march in the mud.
  5. Thats their mascot. The drawing of a bear was the hiccup.
  6. Damn right I'm SETX! Almost got me figured out except for.... Never been much of a drinker except for the occasional margarita at a restaurant or a bourbon at the ranch, married with 1 daughter, and from time to time I will push mow my yard for a little extra exercise (I'm not afraid of the grass). Hope you don't make your living profiling people.
  7. NRG, Minute Maid…grass 😉 Dr. Lintner is affiliated with Houston sports teams, and both professional teams Minute Maid and NRG are grass surfaces.
  8. I can't laugh at this enough...LOLOLOLOLOL! Guess I was lucky cause I played on grass and turf in the middle to late 90's. Grass is dirty...seriously?!? Sounds like you're the type of guy who wears gloves to eat crawfish and can't change a flat tire!! Turf is the only reason they play in Arlington....Attendance has nothing to do with it and Jerry Jones being the Billionaire that he is wants all football in Arlington...smh
  9. You know without a shadow of a doubt, 110% positive that jumping in mud caused his injury? Could have jumping on a dry field, turf caused the injury to??? Adapt and overcome obstacles... poor playing conditions. Football is a battle, war for 48 minutes.
  10. The poster did not specify if that was meant only for Liberty stadium or that was for all grass stadiums...🤷‍♂️ Yes, I know this is a high school forum
  11. Why can't you stand the thought? Grass is good enough for professional teams like Green Bay, Pittsburg, San Fran., Chicago, and a few others.
  12. I spoke with Dr. David Lintner and got his thoughts on turf vs grass. If not familiar with Dr. Lintner...Google. He said in his practice he sees more serious injuries from artificial playing surfaces than from grass. Grass gives and eventually breaks away with enough force/pressure. Turf gives but not to a breaking point. Again, this is coming from a Dr. with a few years under his belt.
  13. I'm all for grass fields. Less injuries but more upkeep. I'd take less injuries over more upkeep but thats just me.
  14. Good day of baseball in Sugarland. Good pitching, timely hits, and some solid defense. I like this team. They play good together.
  15. Cool... not bad stats for AL.... for a few of the kids on mid-county this is just another opportunity to play together before college ball starts.
  16. Its tough to fill a team... summer vacations, kids leaving for college, not willing to travel over a certain distance, etc. If Mid-County makes it past regional... I think 3, 4 kids would not be able to play the world series in Washington due to them leaving for college.
  17. Going to give it our best shot. Got a decent amount of arms to throw and a little pop in the lineup.
  18. I believe the region tournament sites rotate.... not 100% sure.
  19. Mid-County has a good shot at winning and moving on to Washington.
  20. No. Tournament director pushed the games back a week in fear of the storm that is along the Gulf Coast. Mid-County will play in a wooden bat tournament this weekend 7/16 - 7/17. 2 games Saturday at Pearland HS (9am & 1pm) and 2 games Sunday at Alvin Juco (12pm & 4pm).
  21. Mid-County starts tournament play against Wharton, TX at 10am on Thursday (7/14).
  22. Perfect example...far from it. You're comparing a product that has been researched, tested, and tried for countless hours against a product (student athlete) that for most of their career has played against inferior competition...the exception being the big powerhouse 5A/6A schools and private schools (IMG, Mater Dei, etc.). The decision makers that are deciding to purchase apps from these "tech nerds" have done their research, compared the app against all other apps before making the decision to buy. When you decide to endorse, buy an athlete you're paying in hopes that athlete can make the transition from high school to college, hoping that the athlete does slip up along the way... make a stupid social media post, get caught with drugs, underage drinking, etc. IF the app slips ups... no harm no foul. Fix the the glitch, provide app updates, rewrite software to keep up with changing times. You can rewrite a player. Don't try to lecture me on a free market. Everyone of us that has a smartphone, tablet, computer are all a few clicks away from making purchases....for JUST about anything.
  23. No open to discussions or out of thoughts on the matter?
  24. Time will tell on Manning. Has not competed against the best in high school. Has not competed in Elite 11 camps. BUT has the pedigree and I'm sure his uncles have taught him a thing or two. I AM NOT A UT FAN....but I do like his commitment to UT. He'll have to prove himself and compete against another former #1 overall QB commit. And again, I'll stand by my opinion that NIL deals should be capped and or go through the university with stipulations.
